I'd say Jegulus as Taylor Swift's "The Fate of Ophelia," but I can't.... cause, well, you know.... Regulus- he well.... and James wasn't- he couldn't- but maybe in another life he could have....

When Sirius and James are in their late teens/early twenties they start a YouTube channel together and almost immediately take off. People love their dynamic and love watching their videos (gaming/baking/day in the lives, it doesn’t matter they make just about any kind, including LOTS of story times). 

As time goes on and they become more well known, people begin to suggest that they’re both gay and in a relationship.

They deny it. They deny it over and over, though it  doesn’t matter, people keep pressing, pointing to photos that were taken of James kissing Sirius in the back of a club, to the tan line along Sirius’s finger that looks as if it’d been left behind by a wedding ring, to their little shared smiles and brief touches that appear in every video. It doesn’t help that Sirius has wholeheartedly called James his soulmate, saviour, and life long companion on multiple occasions. 

What fans don’t realize is that while they are both gay, they aren’t with one another and simply both have partners who like to keep their lives private. 

Remus is a secondary school teacher who knows multiple students that are utterly obsessed with his husband, and has little desire to be interrogated by them (as well intentioned as they may be), while Regulus prefers to remain offline as much as possible and away from the public eye (unfortunately for him he happens to look A LOT like Sirius from behind)

James and Regulus have the best halloween couple's costume. James loves holidays and will go all out for every single one and Regulus loves outdoing his brother

Regulus doesn't save anyone's contact on his phone. James is horrified when he finds this out and learns that every time he texts his boyfriend his phone number appears and not ✨💕the love of my life💕✨

James who's usually super outgoing and sociable having absolutely no clue how to talk to Regulus's friends. He tries really hard, because those are his boyfriends friends and he wants to be friends with them but Pandora's been talking casually about spirits in the woods while Evan gives Dorcas a stick and poke tattoo and Barty bounces around the room blabbering on about a new topic every few minutes only stopping to snog Evan occasionally. He spends the night quietly sitting by himself and missing his friends, because somehow the werewolf is less scary then whoever Regulus spends his time with.

James loves playing video games. He spends hours by himself playing games like GTA, RDR, and Horizon Forbidden West. He also loves playing any Nintendo game with his friends (Mario Kart particularly)

Sirius doesn't really play video games by himself but loves to play with James. They're really competitive against one another even though James usually wins (unless he's been drinking.)

Remus doesn't play video games by himself and usually prefers to watch his friends play then join in, though Sirius can some times convince him to (especially if they can be a team).

Regulus is all or nothing. He doesn't usually like to play any but loves to lay in James's arms and quietly watch him play. He thinks video games are mostly just a waste of time. That being said he does go through short periods where he'll spend HOURS playing Stardew Valley. He's played over 500 hours total, has a perfect farm, and has Krobus as a roommate. During this periods James regularly hears complaints about "that prat Clint"

James Potter who has always tried to take care of himself: Going on runs every morning and to the gym every afternoon, making sure he gets enough sleep every night, and most importantly making sure he's eating right.

He cooks all his own meals, despite the extra effort, and refuses to eat sweets or fast food (though Sirius will often order it for himself). He anxiously watches over the protein he's intaking and compares it to the exercises he's doing, he shakes when someone else cooks for him, and needs a weeks notice to go out for dinner.

Because he cares about himself. Because going to the gym and eating properly makes him feel good about himself, despite the panic attacks he has, and the obsessive thoughts, and constant need to track every little thing.

It's because he cares about his health, he tells himself over and over again, until he too believes it, as everyone else does.

He cries when Sirius eats half of his carefully measured out lunch, and can't explain why it matters. He can't explain how it messes up his carefully planned out diet, and the limits he'd set for himself.

No one notices. Because he's James, because he's healthy, because he goes to the gym and eats home cooked food. Not even himself.

Just James Potter who struggles with orthorexia

The first time they meet James promises Regulus that he'll marry him some day and Regulus roles his eyes. Five years later James is on one knee, reminding Regulus that he never breaks a promise

Everyone is always talking about Sirius and how he would be jealous and angry about James and Regulus getting together, but what about James's response to Sirius and Remus getting together?? I don't think he'd be angry, but I do think he'd be jealous and I think he'd really hate himself for feeling that jealousy. Like he's happy for Sirius and he wants nothing but for his brother to be happy, but he can't stop himself from feeling a little jealous because him and Sirius use to have this special connection and of course it hasn't gone away, but it's different now. Sirius and Remus have a connection too, and it's slowly killing him, and it's killing him that it's killing him, casue why can't he just be happy for Sirius
