Shannon should be allowed to kill people violently </3 I'll even do it for her if she wants

Some of you were not around in the fandom during yearly releases. That's understandable. Let me tell you what it was like.

Here is a tweet thread from 2018 where Shannon posted asking for pain management recommendations, because she was spending so much time typing that she was in extreme physical pain.

Fellow author Kiersten White recommended a wrist brace, and Shannon replied:

I'll spare you more details from the thread, but she described more of her injury, and it was extreme. She was losing feeling in some of her fingers, bad. And she did not have time to go to the doctor because of the deadlines the publisher had her on.

I've never forgotten this thread.

This is one of the more extreme examples, but this type of posting was typical. Shannon was constantly expressing that she was on endless deadlines, that she never slept, that she did nothing but work. Her Instagram was almost entirely made up of dead-eyed selfies with captions like "Proof that I'm still alive!":

Read some of those captions, and let me know if you still think returning to this era would be a good idea. And if you do, I'll hunt you down myself.

i will never forget when she was pregnant and mentioned being sick and unable to go to the doctor because of deadlines, while pregnant i think the post was made mere weeks before she got a social media manager because I never saw a post like that again, and the post itself was taken down, but i was horrified, and very concerned that her publishing company was pushing her that hard??

you try and get back to the farm as much as you can. it feels normal being back among the open wheat; where everyone smiles because you’re that nice Kent boy. 

when you were younger, you pretended to fly, hands out to your sides and running through the tall grass by the river. it doesn’t look as beautiful from on high; the details get lost and the colors of your hometown blur together from a mile above ground. 

the problem with flying is that it puts you so far above people you care about

If book 10 is the final book, I want it to be called moonlark. If it’s second to final, Elysian is fine. I do believe Elysian is most likely at this point but I’m still rooting for moonlark

i don’t think its the last book, mostly because shes said one last book so many times i refuse to believe it until i see it, but also because moonlark doesn’t fit as the title, i honestly believe that it will be the title of the last book in the series, whenever that is

i do think it would be interesting if it ended on book 12 because of the 12 counselors, and 11 is a weird number to end on

These two frames are back-to-back in the opening moments of KoG. I don't know what's darker, the fact that Gwen was ready to simply mow down Olivia to make her escape, or that Olivia would have apparently just let her if Orville hadn't pulled her out of the way at the last second.
