As an artist, one of my key goals for running commissions is to give back to my fellow artists whenever I can. While I save up some of the money I make, I also give a dedicated % of my earnings to digital artists like me, as well as painters, jewelry makers, and musicians.

However, 100% of profits from my special commissions currently go to my friend, Shahd. She's in her last year of dental school, but the circumstances in which she's preparing to study again are extreme. Shahd lives in Gaza, and as some of you may know all of its universities have been destroyed by Israel's relentless attacks on the strip. Students are doing their best to resist the occupation by studying whenever they can while scraping by. They might not all be artists like me, but they have just as much of a right to education and a safe place to develop her skills as anyone else.

Currently, Shahd doesn't have as much time to campaign for herself, since she's busy helping her family and community survive the seige. (You can read about her daily life under seige on her blog: @shahdhatem) For the time being, SNS users such as myself are sharing her campaign for her, and awhile back I opened a special commission offer to bring more money her way. You’re starting to see more images of food in the markets, of prepared meals in community kitchens, stalls serving modified menus. The word “famine” is not being used as much. This is the plan, this is part of the modified and strategically engineered genocide.

To meet aid delivery quotas and to pacify an international audience who became increasingly more alarmed at the images of starving children, the occupation is letting in more goods. But what is being let in is certainly not quality, but quantity, and certainly of limited nutritional value.

The occupation is providing Palestinians in Gaza with sugary soft drinks, candy, instant noodles, canned goods, anything with a high calorie count in order to bulk up the population but without giving them healthy or nutritions food. Where is the chicken, the meat, vegetables and fruit? They are controlling Palestinian’s diets, making sure their consumption leads to diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and other ailments.

Our teams are still providing meals for families and on October 13, Translating Falasteen (@translatingpal) x The Sameer Project distributed 200 hot meals of rice at Jenan Camp 3 near Hamad City in Khan Younis. [X]

Why does some people think that a ceasefire means the accelerated genocide is over? Do we know what it means? In the Oxford English Dictionary, it is defined as the following: "A (temporary) suspension of hostilities; an agreement made to effect this; a truce".

Read the sentence again. Take it in. It is a temporary solution. The settler colony could uplift it and resume the violence against the Palestinians. Expect it has violated the agreement - "at least 236 Palestinians have been killed by 'Israel' in Gaza since the ceasefire began" - while committing violence the West Bank and Southern Lebanon!

💧 Help deliver clean water in Gaza 💧

Relief for Rafah is still operating (September 29, 2025) despite recent evacuation orders and forced displacement. Just a few days ago, they were able to provide a truck with 5,000 liters of water to the families in the camp, who have been displaced from the besieged north into the crowded camps of the Al-Mawasi area.

Long-term residents of Mawasi al-Qarara camp, and displaced people who had recently settled into the camp, were both served. Relief for Rafah used to support almost 70 families: it now supports over 150.
