Too Weak To Cry

Addressing the UN Security Council on August 27, the head of Save the Children described the slow agony of starving children in Gaza, saying they are now so weak, they cannot even cry.

“Save the Children’s clinics in Gaza are overwhelmed by need; every bench packed with malnourished children and their mothers. Yet our clinics are almost silent now.

Children do not have the strength to speak or even cry out in agony. They lie there, emaciated, quite literally wasting away,” said Inger Ashing.

“A few kilometres away stand ready a sea of supplies. Thousands upon thousands of truckloads of lifesaving items. All blocked,” she added.

The United Nations officially declared famine in Gaza last week, citing Israel’s systematic obstruction of aid during more than 22 months of war.

Jews, Rebel Now!

Avraham "Avrum" Burg, a former speaker of the Israeli Knesset, called on Friday for one million Jews worldwide to join a collective legal complaint at the International Court of Justice, accusing Israel of crimes against humanity in Gaza.

"We need one million Jews, less than ten percent of the global Jewish population, to file a joint appeal to the International Court of Justice in The Hague," Burg wrote in a post titled "Jews – Rebel. Now!" published on his Substack.

"A collective legal complaint against the State of Israel for crimes against humanity committed in our name and under the false banner of our Jewish identity."
