so like I know my followers are probably all pro-palestine. I just saw a post asking why someone doesn't rb anything condemning hamas and the person responded basically that they don't condemn hamas so obviously they're not gonna rb that. So just to put into perspective why we don't condemn hamas:

Since the start of the "war", hamas has killed maybe 2000 people total. I cannot find a reliable source that clearly says how many of those were soldiers vs civilians (or really anything verifying any numbers on a quick Google search.), at least 560ish are for sure claimed to be IDF soldiers.

Since the start of the "war", the IDF has killed over 30,000 Palestinian people. They claim that just over 12,000 were hamas soldiers.

Assuming they are correct about estimates of how many of those casualties are actually hamas soldiers, the IDF has killed just over 2 civilians for every hamas soldier they've killed.

Israel has killed approximately 20 people for every person hamas supposedly killed. If the 560 is to be believed to be the only IDF casualties, Israel has killed 53 people for every soldier they lost. I want you to understand how insane that is. If someone killed someone I know and I killed 56 people in response I would be branded a terrorist and either locked in prison for the rest of my life, or simply executed the second authorities find me. I would be listed on this Wikipedia at the 13th spot under the "Serial killers with the highest victim count" section, going off exclusively confirmed deaths and not speculated deaths.

I'm not even going to bring up the child casualties because I've already proven my point. Israel cannot be trusted to determine who is in hamas, therefore whether or not hamas is wrong is entirely moot. Israel is not fighting hamas so it does not matter if we condemn hamas.

Whether the Palestinian casualties are hamas or civilians, Israel is committing genocide. Whether the Israeli casualties are IDF soldiers or civilians, Israel is committing genocide. There's nothing else to it.

Like genuinely the whole "Hamas vs IDF" thing is so insane to claim because even assuming the IDF is exclusively targeting Hamas, the difference between Hamas kills and IDF kills is so fucking massive that it's not even justified. Trying to slaughter an army to the last man is obscene. Doubly so when, at most, said army has only killed 1/100th of your troops. Triply so when (based on Wikipedia) you outnumber the other army 10 to 1. Quadruply so when, if it really is just a war against hamas, you've already killed more people than are claimed to be in the army you're supposed to be fighting (Wikipedia claims Hamas has about 25 thousand members). It is a genocide.

I've been pretty detached from learning anything about this conflict because it seemed pretty straightforward at the start: Palestine obviously deserves to be free, without having any of these numbers. Tonight alone I've learned more about the actual casualty counts of both sides than I needed and the only thing that's changed is that I feel even more hatred towards Israel over this. It's fucking obscene to claim this is a war. It's fucking disgusting to claim 30,000 lives being taken was justified. This is not a war. This is a powerful country picking on innocent people because they can. This is a genocide. Free Palestine.

Actually, I really like this idea as why elven and dwarven crafts are so good. Something that’s merely acceptable is meant to last most of one of their lifetimes. So even a mediocre dwarven craftsman will make something a human can pass down.

And you can always sell what the apprentice makes while still learning to a human, letting them know it will merely last for the rest of their life.
