  1. Fold changes and mean expression were obtained using the Bioconductor edgeR package58 with variance between samples by trended estimate. Fold changes is calculated by the gene expression level in adrenal chromaffin precursor cells divided by the gene expression level in sympathetic neuroblasts. Mean expression is reported average count per million (CPM).
