A galvanic cell is an electrochemical device that converts chemical energy from spontaneous redox reactions into electrical energy. It consists of two electrodes, an anode and a cathode, immersed in electrolyte solutions, allowing for the flow of electrons through an external circuit, thereby generating electric current.
