Babes of Science is a podcast that investigates women who changed the trajectory of science why it’s taken us so long to recognize their work.
If you can't find the podcast on the app you use, here's the link to the Babes of Science RSS.
Babes of Science is produced by me, Poncie Rutsch. Babe, yes; of science, not so much. I studied ecology and evolution until I realized I like talking to scientists more than fieldwork, data analysis, or journal-style writing.
I would love to hear about your favorite female scientist for future inclusion on the show. If you have a suggestion, please get in touch via email. My focus is on scientists who are no longer living, as it's a little easier to talk about someone's legacy post-mortem.
Babes of Science now accepts donations to support things like web hosting, travel for interviews, and hopefully a swag shop (coming soon!). You can either make a pledge per episode on Patreon, or click the Donate button below to make a one-time donation.
