Congratulations to the Lionesses from all of us at EE. From start to finish, the squad showed pure passion and resilience. Throughout our campaign this tournament (https://lnkd.in/ekMXDR4F) we have highlighted the vital role football plays in young girls’ confidence and resilience both on and off the pitch. Last night we saw this come to life as the Lionesses fought with grit and determination to secure their 2 -1 win over Italy. As the lead partner of the Home Nations teams, we have couldn’t be prouder of the team. EE is right behind the Lionesses every step of the way as they charge into the final this Sunday.

It was a magical moment for the young girls and women we support when they got to spend quality time with Allison Kirkby, CEO of BT Group last week. She shared her own inspiring journey and reminded every participant to believe in themselves and dream without limits. Allison was visiting project participants from two of our incredible partner organisations, KATHA and ETASHA Society with whom we are helping adolescent girls and young women unlock their full potential. We know it’s an encounter that made a huge impression and will help to shape their journeys. Through our partnership with BT Group and local partners like Katha and ETASHA, we are helping adolescent girls and young women unlock their full potential. At Katha, girls are gaining digital and STEM skills through a blend of classroom learning, hands-on projects, and community engagement. At ETASHA, young women are receiving digital upskilling, vocational training, and career counselling to improve employment outcomes. Our partnership goes beyond just skill-building. It aims to expand horizons, build confidence, and create opportunities for our young girls to become successful individuals and leaders in their communities and professional lives.
