We did not arrive until after 10pm thanks to SJ railway and the bar staff Jorgen and Rasmus were outstanding as they made a chess and meat platter for us.

This hotel dates back to the 19th century and enjoys a waterfront location. The Stora Torget square is within 100 metres, while Karlstad Central Station is a 5-minute walk away. I like the restaurant and the roof top. Also, I like the size of the room, which was big enough for 2 people. The breakfast was amazing and the view over the river was really nice. The location was very good.

Breakfast had plenty of options, but the coffee was average, especially being in Sweden. The main building is warm and welcoming, while the smaller buildings are just rooms in a big container.
