Offering a garden and river view, Vor lauter Bäumen B&B is set in Zorge, 19 km from Harz National Park and 37 km from Town Hall Wernigerode. We were warmly met by Sebastian and Eline, they were very kind to show us everything we needed. The suite was very warm and clean and all utilities were working just fine. There were always enough hot water and the kitchen was fully equipped and had everything for a short stay. The breakfast was very good and tasty. I found it very nice that every guest could set up an own breakfast time. Everything had a spicial touch and charm. The location is a very nice village between mountains. Hiking routes of various lengths are starting just from it. So nice that the disaster killing trees on Harz mountains didn't get there. The sauna and jacuzzi for extra 40€ is absolutely the top. The nearby water stream and of course the trees are quite loud (just as the place's name states) but it didn't irritate us and the windows are completely canceling the noise if you wish. The check-in and check-out process was uncomplicated and on the check-in we received guest cards providing free bus rides and discounts in many establishments of the region.

Situated in Rübeland, 14 km from Monastery Michaelstein, BODETALER BASECAMP LODGE - Boutique Lodge & Naturerlebnishotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and... Super friendly and helpful staff, fantastic fresh food, served traditional DDR (East German) soups for starters, although other fresh organic foods were also available. Food was SUPERB. Room was beautiful with terrace overlooking the water and shower with back jets - perfect for relaxing muscles after a day hiking.. Great atmosphere, super chilled and relaxed, restaurant was similar to an American lodge (but way cooler). Staff were so kind and accomodating and were great Ambassador's for Germany. Would definitely stay again. Great for those on the Harzer Hexensteig.

Hotel & Spa Suiten FreiWerk features a fitness centre, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Stolberg i. Harz. Spa Suite was super nice with lots of comfort and amenities. The private Sauna and then the fancy hot tub on the big balcony were super nice. Bed was top notch. Breakfast was good too and their restaurant for dinner.

Set in tranquil nature and featuring a historical ambience, this grand castle hotel offers spacious rooms with Italian period furniture. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices at the buffet. The service at breakfast by the waitresses was very good. The location was excellent! The castle and the grounds are beautifully kept and inside was warm and cosy with lovely antique furnishings to fit the castle’s original era. Lots of attractions nearby! Surrounded by the forests of the Lower Harz region, the Naturresort & Spa Schindelbruch offers modern rooms, a large spa and a country-style restaurant. It is located close to Stolberg. We enjoyed a short romantic break. The location was perfect for this purpose. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of the Harz, surrounded by a wonderful forest. However, it was easy to find the hotel and, as we were travelling by car, we were able to easily get around and visit Stolberg, the Rose Park in Sangerhausen and other interesting places. The hotel grounds are also incredibly beautiful. Although the lower park was closed due to the construction of the new swimming pool, our room nevertheless faced the front of the hotel grounds and we enjoyed the view undisturbed. The breakfast and dinner were super lovely with an excellent selection of food. Perhaps the restaurant should consider displaying the wine bottles when they only serve a glass of wine, instead of bringing a glass already filled with wine to the table from outside. The wellness area with swimming pool is excellent. I had a facial and a massage. And it lived up to the highest expectations. I would definitely do it again if I had a longer stay.

This family-owned spa resort in Bad Sachsa, in the Harz Mountains nature park, provides guests with spacious rooms and a wide variety of free leisure activities and extra services. We loved this hotel, the spa facilities were great, especially the outdoor pool. The food was fantastic, we really enjoyed our breakfasts and the evenings meals. We stayed in a suite which was very comfortable and had a lot of space, we loved sitting on the balcony. Thank you to all the staff for being so helpful and friendly, we would love to stay again.

Our stay was fantastic! Our host was friendly and went above and beyond, even giving us an early check-in and a tour. The apartment was spotless, with a stunning mountain view in a peaceful neighborhood. The kitchen was stocked with everything—blender, Nespresso, toaster, you name it—plus sparkling-clean dishes and cutlery. The bathroom was sleek and modern, with dimmable lights and a heated mirror for that extra touch of luxury. Overall, an amazing experience! Highly recommended.
