Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN har ett perfekt läge i området Owani Onsen i Ōwani, 43 km från Sannai-Maruyama site, 17 km från Hirosaki slott och 42 km från Sukayu Onsen. Exceptional service from manager and staff. We arrived after dinner time, and the manager, cheff and staff stayed on to serve us delicious food. Thank you very much. Will san New Zealand.

Tabinoyado Saikawa ligger i Kuroishi, 33 km från Towadasjön, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering. This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Kameya Hotel ligger i Tsuruoka, 3,5 km från Plaza de Armas Arequipa, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård och gratis privat parkering. Amazing history and gardens. Rooms were enormous, with open views of the beach and with a cedar bathtub fed by hot springs in the room.

Ichiraku tendo spa & brewery ligger i Tendo, 30 km från Zao Hotsprings skidort, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. What a cool place! There were so many opportunities to taste the beer that was brewed locally on-site. From the drinks bar at check-in to the tasting room open all day to the all-you-can-drink plan at dinner, the hotel was really quite generous with their liquid offerings. Even non-drinkers are accommodated with plenty of alcohol-free options. We also liked that they had multiple private baths on site. The main onsen were also quite nice. The food was fantastic and the beef served at dinner was some of the best I've had.

Yuze Hotel ligger i Kazuno, i området Yuze Onsen. Denna ryokan med 4 stjärnor har luftkonditionerade rum med gratis WiFi och eget badrum. Här finns även en gemensam lounge. The dinner was amazing - there was a station where the staff prepares a small dish on the spot for you. The onsen was eye-opening to say the least. It is located beside a stream / forest, and it was refreshing to soak in the onsen while listening to the stream flow by.

Takasagoya Ryokan ligger i Zao Onsen. Denna ryokan med 3 stjärnor har en restaurang samt luftkonditionerade rum med gratis WiFi och delat badrum. The rooms were very spacious and the food was exceptionally. It was a fantastic authentic experience.

Okawaso erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och en restaurang i Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km från Aizu Higashiyama Onsen. Alla rum på detta ryokan har luftkonditionering och TV. Alla rum har eget badrum. The staff were extremely friendly and very customer service oriented. The room and facilities were of extremely high quality - I felt as if I was in a 5 star hotel. The dinner was perfect. Hot springs are very pleasant.

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. Where to begin? The room was excellent in size and had a nice feeling to it. The onsen was close by. The staff was so kind and service minded. The whole experience with dinner and breakfast was exceptional, especially the staff member whom served us with excellent English. Just the whole experience was quite wonderful.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Beautiful property. The room was spacious! Even for Western standards. The private onsen was very nice. We did not try the public onsen. The staff were courteous and helpful. Although the staff had limited English proficiency, they all used a translation app to help with communication which was incredibly helpful.
