Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Lake Towada and 43 km of Sannai-Maruyama site. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! They helped me securely store my bike and when I first got on the room they brought me a thermos with boiled water so I could have some tea immediately. The onsen itself was small but was pretty empty whenever I went, with good opening hours to suit all lifestyles.

Situated in Kuroishi in the Aomori region, Tabinoyado Saikawa features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to spa facilities. This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Tsuta Onsen Ryokan is a ryokan set in a historic building in Towada, a few steps from Tsuta Hot Spring. Staff was amazing and helpful.

Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Fukaura, a few steps from Furofushi Onsen. Excellent Japan sea view of outside onsen with yummy buffet

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. Awesome sea view from both the room and onsen. Great staff.

Situated in Aomori and only 20 km from Sannai-Maruyama site, Yadoya Tsubaki features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Welcoming stuff. Very cozy atmosphere. Great location near a train station and few great places to eat and drink. Traditional interior design and great Onsen

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Very nice staff, clean room, tasty food and just amazing, really amazing breakfast. They have free shuttle from Aomori station. Onsen is small but very good.

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Aomori Train Station, Iroha Ryokan offers simple Japanese-style rooms with a flat-screen TV. It was just perfect, a lot of amazing amenities, a giant traditional japanese room, free chocolate and tea, i loved it

Situated in Hirosaki in the Aomori region, with Hirosaki Castle nearby, Kobori Ryokan features accommodation with access to a public bath. Extremely clean traditional ryokan. Almost no english spoken, but this makes the experience even better. Excellent location for visiting Hirosaki castle.

KAMENOI HOTEL Aomori Makado provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 47 km of Sannai-Maruyama site and 4.4 km of Noheiji Battle Memorial. Beautiful hotel with a fabulous buffet and lovely onsen.
