The rooms with private onsen baths were incredible - they were huge, traditional, and the baths were amazing. The kaiseki dinners and breakfasts were some of the best meals I have ever eaten. Hot spring faucet (80 degree celcius) in the bathtub was a plus. I loved the tatami portion of the room and the balcony with an ocean view. The receptionists were all very nice and helpful. Very Japanese, with tatami room and older Japanese style bathroom, bathroom and toilet were separated. Staff was very friendly and caring, they don't speak English and basic Japanese is very helpful here, though I would say it could be handled even without knowing a word in Japanese.
