Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The artisan San Blas location puts you near the center, but because the street has no cars , it is very quiet and quaint. The city views from its high location are spectacular. Breakfast was hearty and the staff could not be more helpful and accommodating.

What a wonderful find!! This lovely hotel exceeded our expectations in all respects. We loved the quiet and comfortable rooms, large beds, excellent location, 24h free tea and coco leave station and beautiful Cusco views. Also liked that staff was available if needed but not hovering around one as you find at some places. Amazing value for money.

United KingdomA heater in the room would have been good for the cold nights. The room was a little dark with little lighting. The floor lamp couldn't be used as there no plug which fitted.
Large room which was clean. Clean bathroom. Good breakfast.

GermanyYou definitely need an extra heating to have a warm room during the night. Which will make a bit of a noise. The noise from the bar is only on Friday’s and saturdays.
We have stayed in multiple rooms during our stay. They are all lovely designed. Better to have a room on the upper levels. You have access to tea all the time.

SingaporeThe room doors are a bit hollow, so you could easily hear your neighbours opening their doors or tap running. Location was a bit out of the way from the main street which is about a 10 minutes walk away. The road outside the hotel is not vehicle accessible, so you got to get off the cab and walk maybe 5-7 minutes to the door, the path is rocky and not easy to drag your luggage on too. This also does not aid for those planning to go for tours, as the tour buses would need to be on main streets which are wider, so you need to walk closer to the main square to get your pickup. We chose the add on pick up option which cost about US $14 just cause we didn't want to think about the hassle of finding an Uber at almost midnight. On hindsight, Uber would have been cheaper at probably a fraction of the cost.
Room was spacious, we got the one facing inwards of the courtyard on the corners of the top floor. We stayed twice, once in each corner of the courtyard, I would say that one layout was more sensible and spacious, even having a toilet which had his/hers basin areas while the other was cramped. Breakfast was simple, nothing fancy, you could also order take away boxes for early departures to tours as well. The dining area is open all day to allow for water top up which was convenient. There are some small supermarkets and eateries on the same level without needing to go down the hill.

GermanyThe Hotel is located close to the Mercado San Blas. Everything is close by and easy to reach by foot. Several cafés and shops are nearby. The Rooms are very clean and comfortable! The breakfast offers a big variety and tastes very good! The most amazing part is the Hotel Staff. They are very very friendly and always ready to assist. Our stay in Tariq Hotel left us very happy and welcomed ☺️ We will definitely be back. Thank you for these amazing days!

United StatesWe absolutely loved everything about this hotel! The only little thing to note is that the street leading to the hotel is quite narrow, so cars can’t drive right up to the entrance. If you have luggage, you might need to walk a short distance down the street, but it’s definitely worth it!
We absolutely loved this hotel! It had such a charming vibe and was full of character. The views of the city from our room and the restaurant were simply amazing! There were so many cozy spots to hang out and take it all in. Breakfast was like a delicious feast with a fantastic selection of fresh fruits, tasty juices, artisanal bread, creamy cheeses, and a variety of teas and cereals, plus a tempting à la carte menu! The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. The hotel was so clean, and the beds were a total bliss! We will stay in this hotel again.

United Kingdom- The ventilation for the bathroom is three large holes bored through the wall directly to the alley outside. The tunnels of these holes contained mouse droppings. - Small window which didn’t let in much light - The window was single-glazed and very thin. Combined with the bathroom holes, this meant that noise from the alleyway came into our room very easily. It’s a quiet area, but we did get disturbed several times on both nights by drunk people shouting and singing out in the alleyway.
- Great decor - Nice sized room - Good breakfast with excellent view over Cusco - Friendly staff - Extra services offered - Excellent location

United StatesCusco is a city with many hills and steep streets. The hotel is located at the top of a steep hill, and many of the rooms require climbing many stairs (20+) to reach them. Just know you will be walking a lot at the end of a busy day to get to your bed!
All of the staff were very sweet and helpful, even willing to store leftover takeout food in the kitchen fridge (as there are no fridges in the rooms). The view from the dining room is spectacular and a great way to start the day! The beds were also extremely comfortable.
