Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

United Kingdom1.I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but the staff was not friendly or welcoming in general, one example will be that I arrived around 1:00 pm, and the first thing the staff member told me, instead of saying 'Welcome to our hotel' or anything similar, was 'You know it's 1 pm, and check-in is at 3?' I was very surprised by it (in a bad way). Yes, check-in is at 3 pm however, people travel from all around the world, and they arrive at different times so people go directly to the hotel to leave their bags there or maybe to relax in the communal areas waiting for check in instead of carrying heavy luggage with them. They need to train the staff to be friendly and polite. 2.All the messages sent to me by the hotel containing important information were not in English, making it impossible for me to understand anything. As a hotel catering to tourists, it is essential to provide information in a language that guests can comprehend. Sending important messages in the local language should only be done if the customer is known to be local. This is a fundamental aspect of customer service. 3.When we arrived, our room was ready, so we asked if we could use it as it was already prepared. However, they told us to pay for it. It was the first time in my life a hotel asked me to pay to check in early in Amsterdam when the room was empty and ready. I travel to Amsterdam for work around four times per year, and this is not normal and looks bad. The next day, we went to a different hotel that let us use our room three hours before the check-in time for free (like almost any other hotel in town). I know check-in is at 3 pm, but if you have a clean, empty room ready and charge customers to use it, it creates a very bad impression of your hotel. Even though the hotel was beautiful, due to the unfriendly staff and the fact that they charged for early check-in, I would not come back.
* The hotel is brand new and exceptionally charming. Our room had a breathtaking view to the port, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. * The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the tram station. * The surrounding area is delightful, with a picturesque port and a few bars and restaurants to explore.

CyprusI was upset with a customer service at this hotel. At first they asked to pay for an early check in even though I didn’t ask for it and my room was ready anyway (which would be fine if I didn’t know that other hotels provide it free of charge). Then at 10ish pm I wanted to buy some ready meal but their terminal was not working. They asked for cash. I proposed to pay during check out, but they refused this option and did not offer any alternatives. They left their guest hungry at night. No metro nearby. Tram/bus are 8-12 mins away. There is only shower gel in a bathroom.
Specious room, comfy bed. I paid for a room with a view, and it totally worth it.

New ZealandThe price was very high, but considering its Amsterdam we could accept it if the services were upto par. The two weeks we stayed there, housekeeping did not refill the coffee pods a single day. They kept missing the required towels most days, did not refill the soap, and the day before we were leaving housekeeping totally ignored our room, even though we did NOT leave a free drive/DND sign, cos I'm sure they knew it was the last day and didn't care. We did inform reception about the issues some days but gave up eventually.
Location and views from the hotel were good. Modern and well maintained facilities. Although there are no restaurants or shops in the vicinity, the tram and bus were only 7/10 min walking distance which was convenient.

AustraliaNo tea or coffee in room however this seems the norm in most of Europe. No water in the fridge. I was charged an extra 15 euro a night as the credit card for pre charge was over expiry date. I updated to another credit card which they told me they couldn't use (fraud warning) although it worked fine at the hotel. I did give them the original card with new expiry date and asked them to use it but no reply received and proceeded with this charge. I feel customer service is not great, focussed in charging more money. No phones in rooms. Seems odd, no way of contacting reception. Charges for early arrival. Even when I asked to check in 5 minutes to 3pm the woman seemed reluctant. Please take note of reviews. It could be a great hotel.
The hotel is quite new. Modern and comfortable. Lovely view from our room.
