Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThe street is a bit noisy and despite the thick glazing you can hear sometimes the buzz from the street.
Brand new hotel, located close to the Central Station with comfortable rooms (I had the Standard King Room), nice quality toiletries (including hydrating lotion which is a plus) and linen. The breakfast was included in my case and it was fresh and tasty and just enough variety-wise.

United KingdomFew very small communication issues on checking in - seems odd that only one lift out of two goes to the 4th floor (something that might have been useful to know if you’re on the 4th floor!).

United KingdomAs a tall person the cealings were a bit low in some parts of the room. Also only one of the lifts went to the top floor so if the wrong lift cones you have to send it up, jump out and then call it again to get the right one. Maybe there was a better way bit i couldnt figure it out. Staff were very friendly and helpful though
The location was amazing. Close to the central station and lots of shops and restaurants. The rooms were really cosy if a bit quirky

FinlandFloors became very slippery after showering which was a bit dangerous and I do not like glass bathrooms. Also staff members did not know we had a late checkout and came to tell us know twice it is time to go, even though it wasn't. This was very disturbing.
Bed was amazing and room very clean.

United KingdomIf staying on the 4th floor only one of the lifts goes to that floor, not really an issue but would be good to know beforehand
Luxury for an amazing price and a brilliant location. The attic room was perfect for a two day trip to The Hague, cosy but spacious enough. The bathroom facilities were spotless and modern while the original exposed beams gave it just the right amount of Netherlands charm. There is also gorgeous bar downstairs with a lovely barman Mark. As the hotel is only a few weeks since opening we got a complimentary drink and snacks.

GermanyThere could be more hangers and furniture for clothes. Silently Opening / Closing the door of the toilet was almost not possible. Maybe it is just the door mechanism that can be adjusted.
The hotel's interiors From the colors and lighting to the decorations and flooring—exude an inviting atmosphere that blends modern design with classic flair. You can sense the love for detail in how historical elements are combined with state-of-the-art service. The staff and their service Although the still-new Ald Hotel initially had some trouble with its check-in system, the staff reacted extremely professionally and welcomingly. We were invited to the bar while they resolved the issue. It's particularly noteworthy that the staff arranged for flowers for our room upon my request, which were ready promptly before our check-in. Thank you so much for the wonderful flowers and the lovely greeting card! Both have made their way home and will keep our beautiful experience alive for a few more days.

RomaniaThere are things to improve: for the apartment - please add chairs in the kitchenette. Please add garbage bins, please setup correctly (or replace it with a normal switch) the light sensor in the toilet room..it is not ok to stay without light. In the toilet room please ensure soap/hand wash liquid and a towel. You didn't provided the shower towels, we asked for it and you provided it after our request.

IrelandThe AC control is unresponsive and the room gets really stuffy. Even though the place is still under construction there are marks in the walls near the bed. There was no iron nor safe box available in the room. The bathroom had a glass door and the full body mirrors in the bedroom is positioned in a way that gives zero privacy to the person using the bathroom, I don’t know what’s the thing with glass bathrooms, no one likes to see their other half using the toilet. Also, even though our towels were changed the bed was not made by the cleaning service.
The location is fantastic and the staff is the kindest! The lady from reception was really nice with us. The bed was also very comfy.

NetherlandsThe matrass was quite hard IMHO, and the pillows were very thick and hard. Personally i like the matress a bit softer and thin soft pillows. The airco was not really doing a great job, and the floor above was squicky when my neighbours above were walking around (i was on the 3rd floor). I did not sleep good.
Location is great, staff is very nice, it looks very good and the bathroom was great. Its all very clean and well kept.

GermanyThe breakfast was poor. Way too little food, for too many guests. When we arrived in the breakfast room there was no bread left, the coffee machine didn’t work properly. Next time I wouldn’t book the breakfast as there are so many nice cafes and restaurants in the area.
The room was nice and spacious. Everything was clean. The location was perfect, right in the centre of den Haag.

BelgiumWe were misinformed about the parking and had to put our car in the nearby parking garage. Costs of parking therefor were more expensive. Management did not care to even talk to us. Smallest hotel room i ever stayed in. Zero space. Bathroom (incl toilet) has a glass wall. I stayed with a friend, we found the lack of privacy uncomfortable. Water from the shower leaks into bedroom. Bedroom and hallway are very dark. Will never stay here again.

UkraineThe breakfast was disappointing. I do not recommend it. I came for breakfast at 9:30: there was only sliced sausage, a few pieces of cheese, leftover vegetables and a few rolls. For that money, it's better to have breakfast at a café.
I liked everything. Everything is very new, the room is well decorated. Fast internet, large new TV, nice bathroom with all kinds of gels and shampoos. I expected worse conditions.

NetherlandsFirst of all, the air conditioning was a real nightmare. The windows in the room couldn't be opened, and the air conditioner didn’t work properly. Even when set to 18°C, it would turn on, run for about 10 minutes, then switch off again. Despite the outside temperature being just 17°C, the room remained at an uncomfortable 26°C. As a result, I had to get up every 20 minutes during the night to manually turn it back on, which led to very poor sleep. The lowest temperature it ever reached was 24°C. When I raised the issue with reception, I was told, rather unhelpfully, that "the air conditioner works in mysterious ways." Additionally, the mini fridge in the room was completely non-functional. Instead of cooling, it actually heated up, making it impossible to keep water cold. On a minor note, the make-up/zoom-in mirror was installed at such a high level that, at 170 cm tall, I couldn’t even reach it to do my makeup. The rooms are dirty and dusty. The reception is not very helpful at all. I needed the return of a city tax, and 3 different people told me absolutely different things on how to do it. UPD: I was completely misinformed by the hotel staff, who lacked knowledge, and it resulted in me losing money, even though I followed their instructions completely. This is the response I have received from the Customer Support of Booking.com. They have also lied to the customer service, and I have a copy of my timely filled-in documents. 'They have confirmed that you did not complete the necessary forms, and unfortunately, it is now impossible to submit them retroactively, as the property must provide all relevant information to the Municipal Tax Department in a timely manner.' So overall, I would not recommend staying there if you don't want to lose your money or be baked alive in a dirty hotel room.
The location is great.

NetherlandsHotel is under construction. Staff could work better together. The pre check in before arriving didn't work. A sign on the elevator is needed to know which one goes to floor 4. We had some troubles turning the lights on. The main light was flickering. Our room was super hot because of the weather and the roof windows. We closed them immediately and turn the air co on. But if you close them, the light on the first floor is not enough. You should put a lamp there. The Mini bar was not clean, it had food from previous guests. We had to tell twice for them to clean it. I think breakfast is expensive for what it offers.
Location is excellent
