How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No AC, but that was expected. Furniture is definitely older and worn, but that's the trade-off for the lower price than other hotels in the area.

Toilet is too small that we can only change our clothes outside. It doesnt come with aircond. Some of the rooms have fans and you can also request for fan. Luckily amaterdam weather is quite chilling when we were here.
Sort of near to where we want to go. Its very newr to van gogh museum. Apparently the room is bigger than the usual ones in Amsterdam. Room is clean

Room was very small with now where for suitcases to open up

No lift to 4th floor and no assistance offered with luggage. No fridge in room. Main negative was dreadful offensive smell from basin and drains that permeated the room. They need to sort that out.

No fridge. Lift extremely small and can only accommidate 2 at most 3 persons with no baggage.
Comfortable with all amenities as indicated. Centrally located close to bus and tram stations.

the facilities was a bit old and it felt a little dusty. room was pretty small and it was a shower room.
the location was absolutely amazing! so quick to get to from airport and super close to museums and others means of transport and food market! family owned, super lovely and helpful people :)

The beds are really small and tend to shift around because they are light. Reception are is quite small.
The location was great. The bus to the airport is just around the corner and it is close to museums and attractions.

The bathroom had some periods of it smelling odd. Walls are thin and with people with a young child crying it didn't help with your sleep. Decor a little tatty in places.
The location was very good and the surrounding area was quiet at night. Rooms cleaned every day. Bathroom was a wet room with a great shower.

Burn mark on upholstered chair needs to be repaired. Shower screen does not stop water getting all over the floor.
Position is very good for museums, Concertgebouw, airport and trams. Breakfast good also

Single room was very cramped. Sink was so tiny it was barely usable. Everything felt cramped…reception area, room.
Excellent location. Close to major museums. A great selection of restaurants nearby. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had initially booked a single room and was not happy with the tiny bed, tiny sink and tiny room so I upgraded to a double room which was very nice. I would not recommend the single room.
The staff and location of the hotel were excellent. You can catch the airport bus 397 very close to the hotel.

Pillows were not very comfy
A lovely friendly hotel in an excellent location. I was attending a work event at the RAI and this was in between there and Leidseplein, so was perfect. The staff were helpful and the room was pleasant. The pillow wasn't very comfortable (but this is subjective). Overall good value for money.

Location was excellent - really close to the Vondelpark and the Museum district. The hotel was clean and comfortable (apart from the pillows which were like large bricks!), the staff were exceptionally friendly and the breakfasts were adequate. I would recommend this place to friends.

The hotel requires renovation. Uncomfortable pillow, slept without. Could not find another option for replacement.
Small, neat hotel in a location that suited me. There are plenty of cafés around and there is a grocery store.
