Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA Hidden Jungle Gem – Pure Magic at Hokhmah Heart Hotel Our stay at Hokhmah Heart Hotel was nothing short of magical. Nestled deep in the lush jungle of the Ruta de los Cenotes, this place is a true sanctuary for those seeking peace, nature, and soulful hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine care. This is not your typical hotel — it’s an experience. A blend of nature, culture, heart, and soul. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, or families looking to unplug and recharge. Highly recommended — we’re already dreaming about our return.

CanadaThe host was amazing. She had many ideas of what to do in the area and we enjoyed everything she suggested from her cenote choices and zip line/atv adventure as well as booking us a snorkel tour. She also made custom meals for my celiac child. My family loved being with the animals and relaxing in her shaded pool. Couldn't recommend it more.

MexicoWe’ve stayed at this hotel more than once, and we love it! Is pet friendly and that’s very important to us, as we always travel with our dog. The rooms are always spotless and comfortable, and the hotel grounds are well maintained, with a pool and a peaceful relaxation area. It’s a lovely place to be, and you can really feel the care and love that’s been put into it. The owner is very friendly , warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. We highly recommend staying here to enjoy some quiet time surrounded by nature. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

United KingdomThe most relaxing stay of my travels in the unique surroundings of the jungle outside Puerto Morelos. I had a free upgrade to a 2 room chalet with air conditioning, hot shower and a nice balcony to sit on. The pool and the welcome helped to make this a great way to finish my travels in Mexico.

United StatesEverything was great! I am surprised how many people don't know about this place yet. People planning to go to Cancun should try this place out as it is very peaceful!
The location, although slightly away from the main areas, is at an amazing spot where you can refresh and run away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi, the breakfast prepared by Roberto, and fun talks with Malonie. The location is great if you want to go to Puerto Morelos, Cancun, and Chichen Itza. I plan to add a full tour of this place on my YouTube channel, Desi Rocket Scientist.

CanadaIt is pretty remote - which has its pros and cons. You’ll need to get a car / taxi to get around if you want to see Puerto Morelos.
Beautiful jungle spot - immersed in nature. Grounds are magic and well-cared for. Staff were friendly and supportive, especially the manager, Roberto - he went above and beyond.

GermanyWe didn't spend much time in the room as the main draw of this place is the outdoors. Amazing for kids to roam around and play while the parents relax. There are also some animals like ducks around and of course all the wild birds.

AustraliaConstruction noise. Toilet not flushing. No fans. No soap.
Some thought and beautiful energy has gone into the property. We could see it being a wonderful venue for retreats. So we had hoped for a peaceful, jungle experience for a couple of days to recover from driving on the opposite side of the road in a fast paced country. Sadly we were woken early by construction directly below our room, which continued at different levels throughout the day. We couldnt get the toilet to flush, which was a bit embarrassing, and we had to ask for soap. We had also read on a review that the pool was ceynote fed, but it was heavily chlorinated. Puerto Molenos is half an hour away across the motorway so we got our host to prepare some food for us. Challenging for him as we are both vegetarian so it was salad. If you are getting your meals catered there, perhaps a good idea to ask the price, and byo. We were charged AUD50 for a $20 bottle of wine. In any case, it was very clean. A fridge for beer and water only, and the beds were comfy. We would have preferred fans to ac but we at least had windows we could open - not the case in most budget accommodation weve encountered.

United StatesSome oversight of the kitchen is needed. We had to ask for potable water which they brought in a 5 gallon jug. Also If you are going to use the kitchen, ask for soap and cleaning cloths, etc. and make sure you have sufficient cookware
Beautiful jungle escape with well manicured grounds and laid-back friendly lifestyle. They had a fire every night that was a gathering place. A very unique stay with incredible flora and art full attention to highlighting old growth, forest and wood.

CanadaPlease be advised this is not a hotel I'm a city. This is a place of kindness and returning to the spirit of travel. A car is recommended as we are off the main highways. However the location is easy to find 🗺️
Hokhman Heart Hotel is a gem hidden in the heart of the jungle 🌴 The staff spoke a wide variety of languages and were kind, considerate and welcoming.🇦🇫🇨🇵🇬🇧 IF I found my apartment lacking for anything all I had to do was ask. 🙏 If you are expecting a resort experience you will be best staying in tourist locations. However if you are open to the whispering of the universe & a calm peaceful experience . 🌟This is your place.🌟 My children enjoyed the pool, the swings and the menagerie of sweet animals. I enjoyed the incredibly comfortable bed, the best I have had in many years. The shower and bathroom were exceptional for the location and I hope to return many times. 🍀 💖Mucho Gracias💖

CanadaWonderful family feeling, pet friendly, and super eco friendly. I love how they use natural ventilation and light. Sitting at the breakfast bar in my room looking out at the jungle, drinking coffee, seeing monkeys in the trees? And hearing the chirping of the birds to lull me to sleep? WOW! highly recommend this place for travelers with pets, families, and people who love low-impact low-footprint tourism. Just ten minutes from Puerto Morelos, very close to cenotes and adventure parks. My room had a kitchenette and an outdoor seating area. Really good time here. Actually a place to relax!

United KingdomTo manage future guests' expectations: this isn't a hotel in the usual sense, in that there is no housekeeping. So don't expect your room to be cleaned, bed made or bin emptied. And there's no soap or shampoo provided, although you do get toilet paper. This makes it more like a holiday let situation (our room had a kitchen) with the reassurance of someone nearby to help if needed.
This is a restful haven in the middle of the jungle, where all you hear is birds and maybe the gentle dripping of rain from the myriad of leaves all around. It was too rainy for us to want to use the pool, but it looked lovely - large and clean. The mock beach where the seating is was a nice touch. The breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious, although in 30 years of coming to Mexico, we've never had pieces of tortilla mixed in with the huevos a la mexicana before. We suspect they may do this for bulk, so they can use fewer eggs, but that's just our impression.
