Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe bed was too small There was no receptionist, check in and check out was done online and it was completely impersonal (I guess that's the future which awaits us) There were no physical keys, doors could only be opened by an app which constantly gives you a bad feeling about what happens if the app breaks, your internet doesn't work etc... You had to pay the tourism fee in front of the entrance door where you had to write your credit card details on your phone while a security camera was hanging there. Doesn't really give you a good feeling
Everything was tidy, clean and the hotel was close to the path up to the Sareiserjoch. Also shops were closeby (Malbun isn't really that big)

FranceOne of the neighboring guests was smoking cigars on the balcony what limited our enjoyment of our own balcony. Perhaps a no smoking policy?
The location was magical. The hotel comfortable and clean and we woke up to the sound of cow bells heading to the pastures. Heidi factor 100%

United KingdomAlthough the smart phone check in worked ok it was a bit of a pain . We are not phone people and had to take it everywhere just to get back I to the hotel . The shower was lovely but water tepid not hot .
Could not be in a better location if you like peace and quiet , absolutely stunning landscape. Hotel itself was spotless, nice facilities and the one staff member we saw at breakfast was a lovely helpful lady . We had a balcony overlooking the falconer show which was rather fun

United StatesWe had to check in through the web browser on our phone in order to open the front door of the hotel, and the door to our hotel room. That was okay, but was a little unusual. We didn't see any staff for the 24 hours that we were there. Additionally, our room had a shared bathroom down the hall, which was okay, but we were not given towels so we had to make do with the hair dryer after we showered.
Our room was very comfortable, clean, and had a nice view from the balcony. The small town of Malbun was a really nice remote getaway and way to experience Liechtenstein. There is a unique pizzeria a few minutes walk up the street, which we really enjoyed. At the time we visited (mid June) there were not really any other businesses open in the area. There is a small grocery store nearby, but it is only open a few days a week and was closed while we were there.

United StatesThe room was pretty small, but it had everything we needed. The beds were a bit uncomfortable for our taste. The breakfast was very basic, and not much variety. They do have a great cappuccino.
It is a great location. The hotel is clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The girl who was in the breakfast room in the mornings was very nice and helpful. It was easy to check in and out. We had digital keys that worked very well. I loved hearing the cows on hill every morning with their bells...the view was spectacular.

SloveniaAs a solo traveler, requiring an active smartphone to check-in is a bit scary - if my phone were to die and reception was not manned, I would be stuck. An alternative that does not run out battery (maybe a PIN I could note down beforehand) would be great.
Location is great - right in the middle of the Malbun. It's relatively affordable, compared to the other hotels in the area. Opening both front door and the room with a smartphone is an interesting addition.

Czech RepublicThere was nobody at a reception at all times. That would be fine, if the check-in does not need to be done digitally, outside, in front of the main doors. During our arrival we almost froze due to the violent wind on that day while trying to check in 🙃 The hotel requires having smartphone at hand, which usually I prefer to not have on a vacation. Not only for a check-in, but even for opening both the main entrance and the room. I wouldn't expected this from a hotel. Last day in the morning, they blocked the parking lot with an advert for some event It was easy to hear the toilet noise in the bedroom from the adjacent room.
The interior is nice and very very clean and the cleaning service is very diligent. Parking lot, great view from the window.

PolandLack of staff on premises, though electronic check in and out was efficient.
We had fully electronic check in and out, very efficient but a bit bizarre not to have anyone to ask a question in this rather remote location :) Hotel is right in the center of the village. The room was comfy and the view was nice

United StatesShared bath was on the opposite end of the hall. High-tech, remote check-in from a cell phone. During my 2 night stay I only saw/spoke to the housekeeper. There is no one at the desk!
I booked a single room with shared bath that was very clean. Hotel is in central Malbun-easy to walk to nearby shops, restaurants, ski lift, trails, and bus stop. The facility is a classic old-style hotel with with a lounge & restaurant (breakfast only).
