How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location with easy access to metro and bus station. Hotel location also near to tourist attraction Namsan tower, 12 storey Daiso and myeong dong night market. Various restaurants serving halal food make it a great location to stay for the mustim tourist. RECOMMENDED

No warm body at the front desk, lack of security measures as anyone can just get in or check-in on your behalf, messy wires, one adaptor provided in the room was not working, double check the socket

One thing I can think of is that there are no towels (only small ones available)
It is very conveniently located in Myeongdong and bus/train stations. However I had a hard time finding the name of the hotel using maps. I couldn't really rate the staff since I was not able to meet them during our stay, nevertheless all our needs are there. The self checkin and out are also simple and easy.

Nothing, all good and what we were expecting
The location is great, the station and Myeongdong area are walking distance. The room was clean, a little bit small, but it’s OK for a couple of nights. The check in and check out process were easy!

The check-in and -out system: Literally any guest can see my booking freely and potentially even check-in as me. For check-out, you just leave your room card in the counter, where it is accessible to all. There is the option to store my luggage after check-out, but it was unattended and could be taken by anyone.
Good location and perfect if you travel light like I did. It was also quiet and peaceful, so I could have a good night sleep. There is a big communal area too, although It would have been even better if the air-con. was on there.

Wonderful location near the metro and buses. The busy centre is only minutes away so surrounded by places to eat but equally a very quiet location. Very safe and you can leave your suitcases in the entrance. Small shop is near by. Very clean and you can quickly replace towels. There are a range of charging cables in the room which was very try useful.

The mattresses make noise when you turn or move.
Love free washer and dryer usage. Love the waterfall shower, shared kitchen usage, perfect location near Myeongdong, and most of all, the exceptional service by the staff John. He assisted us with transportation and even arranged a van for us to the airport. Greatly appreciate his hospitality and patience. Many thanks!

Sewage smell came out of the bathroom, and I could even hear the water flowing in the pipes. Lot of bugs were flying around in the bathroom because of that.
Location was really good, as it was close to the Myeongdong markets, but also far enough to be calm and quiet. The path to the Seoul Tower is also very close. Staff was very friendly. Checkin and checkout were very easy. Rooms were quiet, I couldn’t hear my neighbours at all. The common was very nice as well. I got a cold during my stay in Seoul and having a tea in the common room was a blessing for my soul.

The towels doesn’t smell good to be honest they smell humidity and there is only « hand towels » so only really small one The beds are really noisy because of plastic protection I guess… not comfortable Never saw the host you do everything by yourself but it’s not a problem for me

Did not meet staff but check in was done via a machine and was quick. At checkout again no staff but just had to leave the room key behind, so easy process
Room is very close to others and I had noisy neighbours, so not a good night of sleep. Shower working well. Decent location to tourist activities
