Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanI have stayed at this same hotel several times and I don't like being asked for my passport every time. My information is in the app, I paid in advance, and the staff even made a copy of my residence card before. I feel like it is some kind of discrimination. Why is this necessary? Sometimes I arrive late and just want to get to my room asap, but the check in process seems to take a long time because of this.
The room was super clean. The bed was comfortable. There is a convenience store on the first floor. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area. Super safe. Super great location, just in front of Gotanda station with multiple lines to get around Tokyo.

PhilippinesWe were a party of three, 2 adults and a child, but the room was only setup for two. There were only 2 sets of towels all the time after the room was freshened up, and there were only two sets of PJs, and two sets of pillows. No extra pillows were provided but they offered unlimited extra towels which they offered as pillow substitute. You can phone in and request for extra towels or pick them up at the front desk. The room we got was right in front of the elevator and the "utility room" where the housekeeping things were stored. We'd hear people coming in and out of the elevators, and I'm also not sure if the other noises early in the day were from the utility room when the housekeeping staff started moving things in and out of the utility room. I also didn't like the pricing - we stayed in the same room configuration a few years back (but not before the pandemic), and the room rates were better. Having that previous experience made me notice the significant price increase...about 50% higher now. Despite this, other hotels with similar room size were still priced higher. I would have liked the old rates.
First, Gotanda station was across the street from the hotel - which is convenient. Gotanda station is part of the Yamanote loop and has direct access to Narita via the Asakusa line. Second, the room as spacious which is a plus for families of upto four. There's room to spare after opening up a large, medium, and small luggage all at the same time. Third and last, they have a laundromat/laundry room in two floors - these have coin operated laundry machines and dryers. Bonus: Easy access to famichiki, because Familymart is directly beside the hotel. You can access it rain or shine.

I choose your hotel mainly because of its location. Very convenient to take a train, either JR or subway. Room is small, but very clean and comfortable.

AustraliaHad to keep asking for an extra towel, we checked in with 4 people but they always only replaced our towels with 3. Had to go to reception to ask for another towel.
It was a great location, clean and spacious. The only complaint was the toilet smelt old and had a strange smell to it.

JapanSince it's so close to the station, you can hear the sound of trains passing through, and that is bothersome during the night, especially when you want to sleep. Also, the bathtub was really small, so it's a bit difficult to take a shower/take a bath. The water temperature also fluctuated, and it never reached a high temperature.
The location was excellent, right by Gotanda JR station and close to other stations. There was also many eateries around the area, with a Family Mart right next to the hotel. The room was decent, with a queen-sized bed and a big sized TV. All the amenities were already in the room too!

The location is very close to the Gotanda train station (5 minutes walk), Don Quijote, FamilyMart and other restaurants. The staff is very accommodating too, we were able to borrow umbrellas and managed to get amazon package while we were there.
