The showers are shared but i never ran into anyone in there so it was fine. Just keep that in mind when booking!

Great location in Kawaguchi. They had bikes free for us to use to get around which was really useful. The rooms had aircon and the staff were so lovely and hospitable! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Downside is the 15 min walk from the bus station/convenience stores but walking never hurt anybody.

Price and location were probably the best you could ask for. Clear view of Mt.Fuji (if the weather permits it), the open bath is clean and amazing. At checkout they will shuttle you to the station.

Nothing, really everything was as we were expecting and even more beautiful.

This place is amazing! Staff is really lovely (a family we presumed), the breakfast was incredible (recommend booking it at arrival, we got to try the Japanese one), and the location was superb. There were coffee shops, izakayas and conbini’s closeby. The most beautiful spot close to the lake! The onsens (both sides) were lovely as well. It is a perfect place to be in the nature Kawaguchiko can provide. Recommend (if you like hiking) to hike around the lake! The onsen of this place will definitely be a treat!!

The onsen was a little small and not very appealing. Walls were a little thin so privacy wasn't always assured.

Room was comfortable. Shared bathrooms are okay for those who don't mind. Hosts are very nice! The shuttle service is also very convenient and efficient.

There are two onsens but one is smaller and not as nice. Only one extremely small female toilet and one small male to share between all the rooms.

Lovely authenitic Japanese accommodation. Very big room with views of Mt Fuji. Located right on lake Kawagochiko with numerous restaurants and convenience stires within walking distance.

It’s the Ryukan style with no curtains. You might find its very bright in the morning and bother your sleep

The friendlyness of the staff, the nice, tidy and clean hotel. The beautifull view in front and back. The beautifull location. The fact that the shared facilities were cleaned properly and multiple times a day. The bed was nice and soft! We were very happy!

The property is a beautiful traditional Japanese oasis which is run by a lovely and sweet family who are super helpful with anything you need. We got really lucky and got the mount Fuji room, the facilities were great we loved the onsen (particularly the larger more modern one) the free use of bikes is a massive plus as we saw big queues on the warmer days of people lining up to rent them privately and we didn’t have to worry at all. Great location to the lake and cycling around, quiet but well connected. Host dropped us off at Toyota to rent a car and very amenable to anything we asked. We will definitely be coming back. It’s not a 5 star modern place but amazing for the price and the experience of staying in such a traditional and authentic Japanese property. Thank you for everything

Beautiful and authentic. Very relaxing atmosphere and being able to see Mt Fuji out the window was amazing. The onsen is clean. Free transfer to Kawaguchiko station was a bonus.

Since our room in the second floor, it’s a little bit dangerous for young children, and I suggest that you came to the property full of supplies you might needed for your stay, because it’s far from konbini and restaurants

Very clean, and feels authentic, I initially want the room with fuji view, but we cant choose the room and I didnt get it, but it turns out that the view in our room in pretty too (lake & sakura view), they provide shuttles from and to the kawaguchi station

The public bus to the hotel not run all day, so if you missed the last bus you may need to take taxi.

Ryokan style accommodation with beautiful garden. The surrounding area also very beautiful, near the Yagisaki park. The hotel also provide free bike that the guest can use. Additional breakfast also delicious and fresh. Location is a little bit far from Kawaguchiko station, but that's what I like, away from the crowds. They offer scheduled shuttle to Kawaguchiko station .

The owners were extremely welcoming and service-minded with the highest possible level of precision and cleanliness about everything at the place, starting from the room and finishing with beautiful and tasty breakfast. View from the place is breathtaking. Public bath was fantastic and a big plus was a possibility to borrow bicycles.

Not easy to reach with public transport.

Free bikes to roam around the lake, onsite onsen with stunning views of cherry blossoms, the room views over Mt Fuji, complimentary ride back to train station... Everything was great.

We highly recommend Towagaso. The hosts are very kind and attentive, and they make you feel right at home. The rooms are traditional, with futons and tatami mats, and offer stunning views of Mount Fuji or Lake Kawaguchi, especially beautiful in spring when the sakura trees are in bloom. The facilities are shared, but they are very well maintained and extremely clean. There are also two hot baths (onsen), one for women and one for men, and they switch them daily so you can enjoy both during your stay. We strongly recommend adding the breakfast option: one day you’ll get a Japanese-style breakfast and the next day a Western-style one, both are generous and delicious. Breakfast time 8-9 AM. There’s also a cozy common room where you can enjoy free tea or coffee, and a lovely garden with views of Mount Fuji. Also, there’s easy access to a scenic walk along Lake Kawaguchi. If we get the chance, we’ll definitely come back
