Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CyprusLuckily I had flip flops as the shower overflows but this is a general problem with drainage in Jordan, as I was informed by another hotel in Jordan, and also experienced in over half of the hotels I stayed at in Jordan.
An extremely clean hotel. I had a cosy single room with private bathroom and a fridge. Traditional breakfast on the roof with view. The hotel is on 3 floors all accessed by stairs. Walking distance to the main tourist attractions in Amman. All types of shops and restaurants on your doorstep including their famous ones. 10 minutes by car to Abdali Jett bus station which I used to travel to Petra and Dead Sea. Car park next to hotel if you rent a car. You may have to pay for this. Very nice hosts that will give you advise and information.

GermanyLamps for both sides of the bed would be an asset. A bottle of water for the welcome, complementary or not, would be great (we arrived after 3am from the international airport, so shopping was not this easy). But these are very minor suggestions for improvement.
It was a great stay and we can recommend the hotel and its staff without hesitation.

GermanyThis was one of the best experiences in a hotel in my whole life. I have nothing but great things to say about the hotel and its staff. The room is modern and clean, but it is really the people who work there who made this trip special. I’ve been to many hotels, but I’ve never met this level of hospitality and kindness. I had a very late flight and even though I had checked out in the morning, they let me use the bathroom to take a shower and have a cup of tea on the amazing rooftop terrace while I was waiting for my pick up around midnight. They also helped me sort out two day trips and organized exactly what I had hoped for. This was an extraordinary experience and I can recommend this place one hundred percent. Thank you so much for making my Jordan trip so memorable!

PortugalIn our opinion, everything went very well and we have nothing negative to point out. We have noticed that an upset guest was complaining about the noise, but it seemed plain unfair to us, because the noise came from a mosque outside and it was just for some minutes. Due to its central location, in a busy area of a very active at night large city, of course there might be some noises from outside. You can either choose to stay in a very central location and have some noise coming from the street, or stay in a quieter place, but far from the city center. Having the best of both worlds seems impossible to us. The hotel is not to blame for it, obviously.
We really enjoyed staying here! The staff was very friendly and kind, always concerned about our well-being, responding to our special requests, and also providing us with useful information on various topics. The location is perfect, as the main street is a very short walk away. We would stay here again, and we'll recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amman.

HungaryThe hotel was amazing. Everything is clean, the staff is helpful and support you in your special requests, as well. Our room was quiet, had a great sleep. At the same time, it’s located in the very center. We walked almost everywhere, couldn’t imagine better location. Breakfast is delicious and the rooftop where it’s served has a great atmosphere.

SerbiaThe staff was very friendly and pleasant. They gave us a nice room with view of the street, which looks beautiful and is very clean. Located downtown which is nearby some of the tourist spots. They also have a deal with a parking lot next to the hotel, where daily parking costs 3 JD, which is very nice considering that parking on the street in downtown for longer than 30mins is illegal and some other parking lots charge a lot more. On checkout they organized breakfast for us at 5AM since we were leaving very early for the airport, even though usually breakfast is served later. Overall a very nice experience and a huge recommendation to anyone visiting!!

New ZealandWe booked an airport pickup, but no one picked us up. Had to contact the hotel from the airport and they suggested getting a taxi from there. They were apologetic but it was quite inconvenient given we had a very long flight and no sleep.
The location was great with lots of eateries around. Hotel staff were really nice. Room and bathroom are quite small.

This is a beautiful property in an excellent area. I had a balcony overlooking a Main Street. A short walk (straight up!) to rainbow street or the souq. Room is clean and AC/internet works very well. Breakfast is best I’ve had in Jordan. Hosts very kind with helpful information how to get around Jordan. Airport pickup is a good value compared to other hotels.

United KingdomThe valet to the car park to the rear called George. A big man with red bloodshoteyes. He denied I had paid him the charge for that days parking earlier and tried to get the money again from me, leading to a stand off. No receipts are issued for parking there (3JD for overnight and 2 JD if you leave during the day). And George completely denied i had paid him that day just continuing to make feeding gestures with his hand in front of his mouth like some child and prevent us from driving out to go to the airport. Eventually he gave up trying to get more out of us, a thoroughly unpleasant man though.
The roof top breakfast and friendliness of the staff. Location fabulous too.

Tiny room nice and clean. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. They also let us keep the room one hour after our Check out because they didn't want us to expose to the heat wave outside, while we waited for the driver to the airport. United KingdomWhen I first stumbled upon this room at The Boutique Hotel Amman, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Hussein, Ali, and the rest of the reception team are the most thoughtful, gracious hosts. The amazing hospitality team (Lara, Ali, and Wafaa) are the best people you will meet in Jordan. They provided us with all the information we needed and showed us around. Moreover, I have an urgent health emergency, and these guys saved my life and treated me as one of their family. I never experienced such kindness and graciousity in any other country. I am deeply grateful to all of them for their help and care. The room is just perfect! The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is excellent. The location is incredible, very close to the city center, bus station, and coffeeshops and resturarnts too :) The Boutique Hotel Amman is without a doubt my favorite place in Amman, and I will always go back and stay there!
