Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. the AC was positioned right over my bed, so it was rather chilly for most of the night.
very flexible check-in and check-out times, super convenient location and friendly stuff (i didn't get to meet them in person due to my late arrival but over the messages they were very helpful and kind)

The beds didn't have privacy curtains. There was only 1 bathroom/toilet.
The room was clean and the bed was comfy.

Everything was good, we enjoyed our stay in Zadar. The location is great, the reception staff were kind and friendly, everything was clean. There was some coffee, tea bags etc in the kitchen. I would recommend to stay here

Me and my mom arrived around 8pm and there were left 2 beds only on the top (of a bunk bed), it was also too hot inside, a bit better at night but still - open windows even though there was a conditioner on.
Close to the city center, clean and comfortable. We paid around 30 euros for a person per night(9 people in the room) - it was the cheapest option for Zadar, but still expensive for a hostel.

The space for leisure/ common room was really tiny, so were the sleeping rooms
It was very close to the city centre and the stuff was very nice to allow me to leave my bag and to take a shower before the check in time. Toilet and shower facilities were very comfortable and clean.

The hostel entrance is shared and the main hall feels a bit dodgy, with visible graffiti and signs of vandalism. However, once inside, it does the job.
Superb Location, comfy beds and clean room.

The two hospitalarios managing the hostel on my second night need to think about how their behaviour is seen by guests.
Accommodation was good. Hospitaliaro on the first night was very welcoming. For the location was good being situated opposite a small part and not far from a shopping centre

There is only 1 bathroom, which can lead to a bit of a traffic jam. It’s manageable, but you need to change your clothes in your room.

One of the bathrooms in my room doesn't lock. The kitchen doesn't have a proper cooktop, just a microwave.
Centrally located, easy check-in process, friendly staff, light and airy rooms. The place was very clean.

They very kindly offered me a late check in, however the instructions were a bit confusing. I arrived late at night and was poking around other peoples letter boxes, and couldn't see the sign for the property over the door. It's like an aparment inside an apartment block. In the end, i pushed open the only door i could find with a light on. Instructions should say 'go inside building front door, our mailbox is inside on the right, there is a light switch located xxx if you arrive in the dark. our door is xx''.
The room was nice, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The lady on reception was so kind and helpful.

Toilet was a little cramp, but still the place was great value for money.
The staff was very helpful. They always checked up on me and what i needed, always assited me whether it was checking in late or helping me store my luggage.

Everything was a I expected, or better, nothing to dislike
The location is amazing, which is the main reason for choosing this place. The staff was also friendly and allowed me to check in slightly earlier. Wifi worked fine, and there was a refrigerator and kitchen in the shared area
