Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The price as with many hotels in Georgetown are comparable to US prices but the standards unfortunately aren’t the same. I’m not saying that they can afford to improve the standards but the price should be a bit less.
The location was good, breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

There is a bar at the on the first floor but it’s not open. It would have been to have a social space / entertainment.
A short walk towards Main Street there are restaurants. The building is quiet. Looks like an old colonial house on the inside. The breakfast is ok. Not a wide variety but enough to get someone started on their day .

I requested an upper flat room a month before my arrival but got a ground floor room on my arrival. The folks above me were very noisy, running and jumping sometimes way past 3am on many occasions.
The breakfast was great, mainly locally sourced food items, which I loved.

On my last day, I discovered my watch was missing. I left it on the nightstand and went out for a little. When I came back and prepared to leave, my watch was not on the nightstand. This has never happened before. This was my third time staying at the location, but I have noticed new housekeeping staff. I don't think the staff that cleaned room 311 did a perfect job. Also, the cushions are dirty and need to be replaced. The cook is not friendly, and she always seems to have an attitude when sharing breakfast.
The majority of staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always good. Location is perfect. Assandra, Ashanti, Quincy, and the entire security group are phenomenal.

Cutlery and dishes in the room.

The room had a slightly wet smell, as if a wet rag was left somewhere there and the AC was set at "lock" and it took a while to figure out how to get it on. However, these are minor issues, not deal breakers.
Always a great breakfast and good customer service. The beds are comfortable compared to many other Georgetown hotels. The sheets were a good quality, creating a barrier between your skin and the mattresses and pillows. The location near the market, Bank, and shopping is ideal. Good parking and overnight security. Great value for the money spent.

Didn't like the location of the TV.
It's a great facility for business in Georgetown. Location is ideal. The staff is very friendly and reliable. I love the room this trip.

The reception staff were very nice and helpful. The maintenance guy, on the other hand, was, to my understanding, a bit rude when I asked for help with the AC in my room because the remote was not working properly.

We stayed downstairs and our room had no window or natural light.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and Debra, the chef, went out of her way to cook vegan breakfast. We had issues with the tap and the maintenance man fixed new taps to our sink that very day. Close location within walking distance to the centre of Georgetown. Good security with 24 hour guards. Large twin room with fridge, microwave and AC. Quiet location and quiet room. Right near Church Street for the MASH carnival route. Hotel arranged airport pick up. Good WiFi connection.

the door was not fully sealed though there were no issues. Would be good if travelers know in advance that no toiletries are provided. No lifts.
