The room was tired and outdated. Bathroom was ok, but very minimal. The lobby and public areas were a little shabby. Staff tried but it was pretty lackluster.

The hotel has some charm, but the room was really tired and basic. Location is wonderful, steps away from the action and restaurants.

You can't open the windows fully, in case of fire, you pray. However, if you can look past that, the room was cleanish and had manury (shit) smell. The water pressure was good but oh gosh, the temperature was boiling hot and we were not able to adjust. The floors are totally crooked and uneven, you go uphill to the bathroom.

Talbot Hotel is well available, staff is friendly and handsome, the hotel has no A/C.

Unfortunately the trip was not aided by extremely hot weather There was no A/c or fan provided I left the window open but unfortunately there was noise out side with staff moving four wheeled bins around and talking loudly at 0300!. I’d advise against rooms adjacent to the back entrance to the hotel!

Good friendly staff at check in Very convenient for town centre and a nearby cafe does excellent breakfast Room was ok

A little noisy from other residents on day we stayed

Staff where helpful and parking was good. Rooms were tidy and clean. The hotel did seem to have a lot children present on the day we stayed and they were quite noisy even late at night.

Could do with double glazing, although I know there may be listed restrictions. Noisy pigeons are relentless. Could do with a towel rail in bathroom.

Rooms are very good value for money. Comfortable in a good location. Staff are friendly and sociable.

Recently renovated room, one cup in room for 2 people, shower wouldn’t run hot, no hangers for clothes , no where to hang wet towels and the noise of people coming and going shouting and arguing also the gym at the rear starts playing really loud music from 6am. No bar/ restaurant facilities . Asked for a second cup at reception was handed a cup and was told I would need to wash it.

    Location was excellent

Room was extremely small. No ventilation in the bathroom. Carpets in the hallway badly stained. Very basic facilities. My room overlooked the courtyard and was very noisy until late evening. Walked out after the first night to be greeted by a very large pool of vomit that needed to be negotiated…… Far from ideal (unless you like that sort of thing).

Central location and comfortable bed. WiFi was good.

Facilities were basic, long term residents sat smoking and drinking in a covered area which you have to go through to get to the rooms. There is a gym next door which started blasting music at 5am until evening (not the hotels fault but I feel important to note)

Staff were lovely on check in and were even nice enough to make me a cup of coffee at midnight so I didn't wake the baby with the kettle in the room
