The reception was not manned when we arrived, nobody picked up the phone and we had to wait a while to get the room key. The coffee maker in the room didn’t work and our order for breakfast was misplaced - but that was quickly dealt with after a call to the receptionist who was there in the morning 👍 After a bit of confusion- we had a nice breakfast on the terrace.

Shower space on 6 th floor very tight so anyone with mobility issues would find it very difficult to navigate in and out of the shower as would a large framed person.

Great location for Garr de Lyon. Small cosy hotel. No in-room facilities but this is compensated with complimentary tea/ coffees, cold drinks fruit etc in welcoming social space on ground floor. Very welcoming with helpful staff. I booked a single room and felt safe.

No facilities - just rooms and can be quite noisy at night as the Hotel is on a busy street with lots is restaurants. Rooms are nice though. Breakfast is a tray to your room and was literally a croissant / yoghurt / bread and a juice… not worth it.

Location is excellent and the rooms are clean and airy with air con as well.

Although there is an elevator you have to walk up one flight of stairs. The wifi did not work and it turns out Orange (our carrier) was having problems in the area. In general wifi connections were poor throughout the town.

This was the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in in years - the bed, pillows,duvet all perfect. The walk-in shower was roomy and the towels large and soft. It is in a perfect location in the old town a few steps to the beach, and 5 minutes walk to the port. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our hostess - friendly, warm and helpful.

This boutique hotel was perfectly located in the heart of St. Jean-de-Luz, a thoroughly captivating fishing town. While some distance from the train station, we easily covered the distance on foot. A two minute walk into the town square; even less in the other direction to the beach. November is the perfect time to visit this town. The room was very comfortable. Claudette is a wonderful hostess who made our stay the best.

No parking which made it awkward as my partner has a few walking issues at the moment and had to walk quite a way. Realised after tho could have dropped him off but spent a while looking for somewhere to park so grabbed first spot we saw. Can stop for a minute nearby to unload but again didn't realise this till too late.

Loved where the hotel was situated in the heart of town and close to beach. Although we had trouble finding the hotel due to roads closed so where too late to enjoy beach really.

Road works by the harbour made it difficult to find with the one way system so we parked and walked.

Small, cosy and very well kept hotel located a couple of minutes in one direction from the beautiful clean beach and a couple of minutes in the other direction from the lovely old town of St Jean de Luz. Breakfast on our terrace was delightful and excellent quality. Madame Claudette is so kind and helpful and will do everything to make your stay a good one. Towels, coffee, biscuits etc all replaced every day, and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return!

Hotel is basically on top of restaurants, so kitchen smells are to be expected. Room safe is small and not fixed to anything, easy to remove.

Room was tiny and although we upgraded to a room with patio it was also tiny. As hotel is situated above and close to restaurants there was a smell of cooking when sitting on the patio and due to high screens on patio very little view.

Location was great for walking and restaurants and close to the beach etc.
