Pungent smell of incense in common areas around the rooms. Noise from the precints.( not all the time though just ocassionally).

In terms of negatives, it’s not really at the fault of the service, though i do have suggestions . I believe the heating was centralized in the building so we occasionally had to deal with a cold room and cold showers if the heating wasn’t working. We stayed in a larger room with many windows but the curtains they had weren’t very sufficient. I would recommend that they put heavier curtains on the windows and the balcony as well because there was a major cold draft coming from there. Other than that, it got a bit noisy late at night because of dogs but that can’t be helped so i dont fault the hotel for that.

The service was top notch 10/10. They took every request we had (it was a long stay so we had many requests) and made sure we were accommodated. The food was good and there were good options for meals.

Very loud prayers in the middle of the night that went on for hours and hours. Stayed at 2:30am until 9:30am and kept me awake both Saturday and Sunday morning.

Cleanliness is wanting in the room. Bath cubicle leaked water. House keeping very slack. Check on staff and dining staff very good. The pictures in the website of the room chosen was deceptive!

Although this hotel is rated over 4 stars, my experience did not match those expectations. The building is quite old and poorly maintained. Cleanliness was a major issue — my room was not properly cleaned, and the shower area was particularly problematic. The shower box and door couldn’t be closed at the same time, and after one use, water remained on the floor until housekeeping eventually cleaned it. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities such as a fridge, which I would expect in any 4-star hotel. Overall, the hotel does not deserve its current rating based on my stay.

There was no mini fridge in the room but that was not a big deal. The room was showing it's age but it was still comfortable.

It was right beside the business we had to visit. There are some nice restaurants in the area as well. Our room was massive! The people are all very friendly and the spa was relaxing as well.

There's a church that was quite loud from as early as 5am on Saturday and continued well into the morning. Plan your sleep accordingly.

The breakfast was good with great variety to suit different tastes.

Really nice hotel, with wonderful and friendly staff. The breakfast is excellent and has a nice variety of local and international food options. Eggs made to order, fresh juice, and good fruit salad. Good coffee as well. The rooms are a nice size, and the bed very comfy. The staff are extremely helpful. My only recommendation would be to add another towel in the bathroom for the floor in front of the shower, and for the hands. Otherwise very nice stay!

The standard room I booked did not have a functioning television .The toilet was too close to the wall and thus no leg room .Sink is too small and looks like an after thought. The breakfast option was quite limited for someone with egg allergies

There is a policy of the Hotel that there should be no drinks or food be brought in from outside the hotel. This is totally fine for me! What I have never experienced before and what is not acceptable for me is, that this also applies for simple drinking water.

It's not quite a western 5-star, with dated furniture and power outages (meaning the lifts sometimes didn't work...). Breakfast really could be improved for the western palate.

Fairly good value for money in Addis. You get all the amenities of a 5-star but at a lower price. Close to most tourist attractions and friendly staff.
