The welcome by the frontdesk receptionists especially Ms Tsion with that great smile warmed up the rainy morning. She had a room organised for me for early checkin at 9.30am which was exceptional. Her colleague at the conseige desk, Fitsum, served me diligently

AustraliaTo be allowed in the pool you had to have a swimming cap, no exceptions, which would have been nice to know beforehand so I didn’t have to spend my time sitting on the side. The carpet was worn and stained. It took over 40mins to get a drink at the cocktail bar.
The room was a good size and the bed was really comfortable. The free airport shuttle was very useful. The range of food available was great and the overall experience was positive.

KenyaThe iron box in my room was not working, got another one after several calls, had to go to the reception to fast track. The housekeeping forgot to clean my room, but at least they cleaned as soon as I made the request.
The spa complementary was really nice, and generally the hotel staff were really nice and very helpful. The bathroom packages were comprehensive, they even had a comb :-)

They were able to book us ‘ride ‘ taxi ( the equivalent of Uber ) print off info for us we needed and as we made a muddle in booking an un needed extra night the lady on reception was kind in helping to reimburse us . It felt safe, we liked the fact there were few westerners and it felt more ‘Ethiopian ‘ . The spa with massage was good value

AustraliaExpensive. Our key cards didn’t work on multiple occasions and frequently the doors weren’t locking. The iron was not working. The pool required swimming caps but frequently none were available. (This rule seemed to be applied to women and not men!) The sports bar closed half way through a World Cup final. Pool Used for swimming lessons so not relaxing with the pool inundated with children.
