Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanNothing.
It served the purpose for me. I needed somewhere clean for me to stay for one night. No frills but more than sufficient. I paid about 25€ taxi from the airport, it took me about 15 minutes from the airport. The night shift person was kind and had to come downstairs to open the door.

RomaniaThe cleaning could have been better (e.g. hairs on the sheet, on the floor, in the bathroom) and the room was pretty dark, as there was only a small balcony facing a small inner courtyard where the sun did not show up, yet only the smells from cooking.
The staff was really friendly and helpful - e.g. when I had stomach issues, the staff at reception gave me a kettle and chamomile teabag. The hotel is located near the main train station and close to the city center. The building has a lift too. The room was spacious and the bed was relatively comfortable.

United StatesFor someone who is planning to stay a few nights or use it as a holiday destination, it would be too plain and small. For someone arriving on an 11 pm flight and just needing a place to crash for the night, it’s perfect.
Had all of the basics and it was very convenient.

SpainThe shower wasn't great - it didn't seem to get warm, although as it was a very warm day, I didn't mind too much

United KingdomThe hotel is tucked away, maybe 50 metres from a Chinese cafe. Then the hotel 'vanishes'. It is hidden behind locked metal doors, opposite an Aircon unit. The hotel is on the 2nd floor. If you look very closely at the door buzzers you will find a colourful one marked Pension Terminal. Press it and they will buzz you in without any questions. Turn left for the lifts to floor 2. You may find another locked door - again press to be buzzed in. Once I understood the system, I had no problem with the security. The hotel shares the building with other companies. Could have been handy to have a fridge, but it didn't have one. That's just the way it is.
Tucked away down a side passage (with a big Pension Terminal sign), off the C. Cuarteles, between the Estación Málaga Centro Alameda ADIF and the Malaga Maria Zambrano stations. Lots of various eating options within a few minutes walk, some very close. On C. Cuarteles, I managed to spot at least 3 mini supermarkets nearby. Handy for obtaining cold water. Quiet room with plenty of space. Relaxing lighting. Plenty of space in the shower for soap / shampoo.

FinlandFor the price I was happy with everything I got.
Great location within a walking distance to metro/train. Lots of restaurants, bars and grocery stores nearby. Room was Spartan but had everything apart from a mini fridge. Comfy beds as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomFacilities are a bit basic - but this wasn’t a problem for me, and was probably reflected in the price. The interior of the lift with cardboard covering gave a bad first impression - though lift did operate correctly. It was difficult to cool the room down, the temp controller didn’t seem to work all the time (was it on a timer?)
Location, cleanliness, large room. Staff were great, very helpful. Storing luggage for collection later on day of departure, plus the waiting/rest area and changing facility was excellent

Poland- the rooms are very plain and could use some freshen up - our room only had patio facing window so it was dark and a bit smelly - not a problem for short stay but wouldn’t recommend for longer trips (or book better room)
- staff was lovely and helpful - you can leave your luggage for a day after check out and they even have lounge and full bathroom that you can use after check out

RomaniaThe apartment is located 15 minutes easy walk from the city center, in a good area, just 3 minutes from the train. The short distance from the train was a big advantage, because it only took 10-15 minutes to get to and from the airport. The room itself is not very big, but ok for those who want a city break in Malaga and do not spend much time in the room. The staff was ok, helpful when needed, and the reception is open 24/7.

IrelandThe bed was a bit uncomfortable for me, and same for the pillows. The bathroom is really badly designed. The sink area is cramped, on one side you have the rail for the towel, on the other side a wall, so it's hard to use the sink. The shower hose is facing the entry side of the shower, which has only a soft plastic curtain, so expect to make a mess on the floor.
Location is walking distance to both Maria Zambrano station and city centre, and there are various options for food between bars, restaurants and even supermarkets all within 2 minutes. There's always somebody 24h at the hotel reception, in case you need something. The room was very clean, and spacious. I didn't hear any particular noise coming from street level either. All considered, it's a decent place.

SpainSome of the rooms closer to the reception can be a bit noisy, but that is the case in most hotels.
Good location close to the train and bus station, the harbour, as well as the city centre and local amenities. Reception is open 24 hrs, which was bery convenient as we arrived past midnight. Staff were very friendly and helpful, both before and during the stay. The room was simple, but comfortable and clean.

CanadaNo complaints for the hotel. It would have been nice to have a kettle and mini fridge in the room, but again, the location and the price made those expectations irrelevant.
Perfect location for visiting Malaga and for eventual day trips. Location is about 10 min from everything: train/bus terminal, Central Market, 15 min to the Cathedral and the old town. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony. Two Carrefour Express locations in 5 min walking distance, other groceries in close proximity. Malaga Centro Alameda train station is 5 min walk as well. 3 min walk across the street there's a great coffee shop that serves breakfast and awesome churros.

IrelandI needed to be near the bus/train stations, so this budget hotel was perfect. It was also only a pleasant 10-15 minute walk into the historical old city area. Several nice restaurants and supermarkets on the main road made it easy to self cater.
