Toilet flush does not have enough power. Shower is in the same floor as the entire toilet, but apparently that's common in Egypt.

the elevator is working now!! Location it is near the sea, and there are cafes and restaurants nearby. I recommend old street cafe, right across the street, English menu with decent prices. Good balcony view. Around 20minutes walking to Alexandria station. Host was very welcoming. Despite the constant traffic chaos noise, when closing the windows it dampens enough to manage to sleep

The receptionist was super friendly and helpful! The bed was just as hard as the floor. Quite some noice from other guests and besides the walking paths in the room, there hasn't been done much cleaning.

The sheets and pillows were not clean, and the overall condition of the hotel is very outdated. There are very few amenities, and the place could really use some renovation and better maintenance. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again.

I found this accommodation option by accident, but it ended up being the best thing that happened to me in Alexandria. The location is pretty central, and you can easily reach all the most important sights, including the corniche, by foot. What is even more fascinating, the hotel is located in a vintage building dated back to the colonial times. This way, living here is like going back in time and experiencing how people of the previous centuries lived. Moreover, my room had a wonderful view of the city, and I enjoyed spending every night on the balcony and admiring the nightlife of Alexandria. The staff is also amazing, all of them are helpful, responsive and attentive to all your needs. They helped me on many different occasions. At the same time, this accommodation is so cheap while still being great and pretty well maintained. I just wish I spent more days here... I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable hotels in Alexandria.

I was in a single room for a few nights…it literally felt like I was in a hospital. I do not recommend the single rooms at all, however, I moved to a double and it was better in terms of space and it has a mini-fridge and a balcony which was okay if you’re staying for a few nights. It costed me extra, but I would say it was honestly not worth it at all. The bathrooms are shared, so if you wanted privacy, this was not on the list. Another thing I didn’t like is that they made you leave your room key with them until you come back…I still don’t understand the reasoning behind that, but I still asked them politely to take it with me every time since I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the key with them, although they still have a spare for emergency.

All the staff is so kind and helpful and polite. There is hot shower,toilet paper,blankets.And the windows are thick, so I can’t hear much noise from outside. During the day,you can leave your luggage for 50 pounds per person.Because of that I was able to explore Alexandria without luggage even after checking out! If I come to Alex next time,I will stay this hostel again.

The room and bathroom were not too clean but it was acceptable given the price.

The hotel is the top floor of a building on the street next to Steigenberger Hotel. The elevator was nostalgic and it worked great. The manager was friendly and helpful with a smiling face, and it was easy to communicate in English. The hotel surpassed my expectations and is definitely better than its price expectation.

The place is quite worn out what wouldn't be a problem but several things were not clean. The room looked as it wasn't cleaned since several days and in the cabinet was the dust from months. The sheets had some holes and stains, the mattress was ripped and well over its expected lifetime No room cleaning You had to ask for more toilet paper The shower head was in the middle of the bathroom with nothing around it, so it flood the whole bathroom when you shower Wifi didn't work

I expected room to be vintage and outdated. But it really needs some renovation and deep cleaning. The AC is dirty, there was a cockroach in my room. There is no view from the window because it's only in between the walls of the building. It was loud - I think the sound was coming from using an elevator. I could smell cigarettes.

Staff neglectful. Very late careless check in. Bed uncomfortable near very noisy lounge. Booked a room with desk and kitchenette. Was given a very poor empty room with none of that. When inquired left with no answer.

Staff weren’t very welcoming or friendly. Except those on the night shift which you don’t really see coz you’re sleeping. Always nagged me about money I should pay since I upgraded my room. I also had to pay 50 LE just to leave my bag when I checked out. There aren’t enough toilet paper in the shared bathrooms.

I loved the old building and the neighborhood very much. The room was basic with old style furniture but cozy.

I booked into a room with air conditioning, but they gave me another room without air conditioning without an honest agreement. The whole hotel and the rooms, the bathrooms are very old, where I did not feel comfortable. It is forbidden to visit friends in the room. I do not recommend these accommodations, sorry.
