How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast is wonderful. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Our king room was spacious, clean and quiet. We loved the new bar and the restaurant. Very good food at reasonable prices. The airport shuttle personally greets you and gets you yo and from the airport with ease.

Proximity to airport is a 5 minute drive- excellent! Free shuttle is excellent! Breakfast is pretty good- lots of "continental" options on a large buffet. Room was clean, very comfortable and QUIET!! I paid a little extra for the "Business Floor" (5th floor) which includes a bigger room and apparently people who don't slam their doors in the morning, and don't have LOUD misbehaved KIDS! There was a 24 hour coffee/tea/iced tea, flavored water station on the floor near our room which is very nice. I really enjoyed the steam room which only took about 10 minutes to get going (although it should have been much hotter) and the sauna. The pool area was nice but...screaming kids again. Got terrible service at the bar at the "new" restaurant, so we chose not to eat there. We were going to but the bar service was terrible and to pay $10 for a well vodka soda is ridiculous. VERY good security at the hotel- needed a key card to access almost every space. Overall, a very nice stay in relative comfort for the end of a month-long trip in Ecuador. Were even able to check in early, which was greatly appreciated after a long drive to Guayaquil.

We had what I thought was a party room next-door to us but they said it was a family. Either way it was extremely loud until late at night. Next time I will call the front desk. What looks like a very nice bar was closed for a private event, but it was still nice eating and drinking in the restaurant.
Everything was wonderful. Being personally met at the airport got us off to a good start. Everything about the facilities is very nice.  whatever we needed for the room was brought to us quickly and with a smile. We loved the fact that they set us up at a nice table outside the restaurant. We enjoyed that immensely. The food, prices, and service was excellent in their restaurant. We are returning again soon.

We just needed a place to stay over night between flights that was close to the airport. Everything was clean, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great. We got a free taxi to the airport in the morning.

We stay here often. Close to airport and connected to mall. Rooms are comfortable and staff accommodating. Cant ask for more.

The swimming was somewhat dirty with a few dead bugs.
Breakfast was good with a wide variety of options: the banana bread was my favourite. You could ask for freshly made omelette which was a good option. The gym had several machines which worked well. It’s only 5 mins drive from the airport.

We stayed here to attend an English convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. All of us were warmly welcomed. The breakfast is excellent! I enjoyed all of the food options. The bed was extremely comfortable and spacious. Tryp is attached to one of the malls which was convenient for shopping and restaurants. The staff are polite and well-trained as they think about the small details. It's located close to the airport and there is a free shuttle available. I definitely recommend a stay here.

one night stay to catch a flight the next morning, very convenient location, free car park, a swimming pool and directly communicating with a big shopping mall and food court problem of editing our room key with their machine upon arrival which made the check in process a bit long but it can happen with electronic devices anyway and we got the room key later

unfortunately, they were doing some construction work while I stayed there and it was noisy.
Amazing service from the staff, especially with the airport pickup arrangements. the room was very nice and let’s not forget the amazing breakfast.
