Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaYou can't stay in the bedroom during the day cause of the unbearable heat. Bring a lock to keep your stuff safe while you use the hammocks. Or stay in the bedroom and enjoy a free sauna.
The employees are amazing, kind, respectful and helpful 100% of the time, they are the reason behind my high rankings. The hammocks are comfortable and under the shade. The price is also excellent, so if you are going alone or with friends it's a must buy.

United KingdomIt was pretty cold at night and I had some trouble sleeping because of this, but it got better as the days went on. Definitely bring a pillow as well as using a blanket for a pillow was not that comfortable People can also be quite loud in the tent late at night or in the morning, but none of this ruined my stay here
I LOVED my stay here at the TENT! It was like a community where everyone met, hung out together, enjoyed games, campfire, music and shared experience. The porperty was beautiful, being surrounded by nature, but super easy and convenient to get into the city. It's right beside the Botanical Gardens and Nymphenburg Palace. The staff were really friendly and kind, helping you with anything you needed. Everything was very clean and there were many great spaces to chill and hangout. There was also options of vegan food which I really appreciated!

CanadaOn the booking.com listing it states it’s for guests aged 30 and under but many people looked to be way over 30.
The staff are fantastic! The accommodation are relatively clean (although I question how often the bed sheets are washed in the bunk bed tent). There is a cafeteria on site and a vending machine. The hostel offers free tours on Wednesdays, and provides a list of fun things happening during the week. The hostel also has bonfires nightly, volleyball and basketball courts and enough space for other games and activities.

NetherlandsI have no criteria for now
It is on a nice location surrounded by a small bit of nature in Munich so there is no city noise. The staff was super friendly, you can see that they like what they're doing, and the atmosphere was very cozy. All the beds are in two big tents but there are lockers in between and it's always calm and quiet in the sleeping area so it didn't really bother me that you slept with a lot of people in the same space.

United KingdomSharing the tent with maybe a hundred people meant statistically there will be some people who snore like human trumpets... which I could not block out with ear plugs, so my sleep was disturbed. I didn't mind too much, as I instead went and read my book in the hammock outside.
This place had a super friendly vibe, I was solo travelling but I imagine it would be a great time with a group of friends. It is within an enclosed area so feels very safe and well lit with fairy lights and also a campfire. There are plenty of activities such as table tennis. It felt very lively but people were also very respectful of the quiet hours. The nature of the tent means that it was cold during the night but thick blankets were provided, which was a pleasant change to most hostels during the summer which tend to be boiling hot. The shower facilities were good and you can get breakfast for a decent price.

Czech RepublicAll the matches in the kitchen were either damp or there was nothing to light them from. So bring your own matches or a lighter, otherwise you won't really be able to cook on the gas stoves in the kitchen. Other than that there's nothing we really disliked.
Feels like a summer camp while you're still in Munich. About a 10min walk away from the botanical garden and a tram station. Not sure if this is a right place to stay at during colder months but I definitely recommend it for a summer stay!

AustraliaYou share the space with a lot of other people.
A very unique and positive experience. It was a nice change from repetitiveness of other hostels, it felt more like a community rather than a hostel. It is by far the best hostel based on the social scene that I’ve stayed at. The facilities were incredible with a campfire, sports, relax spaces. Great surrounding nature too.

United KingdomThe upper beds had no ladder up and it was very hard to get on! I think that that is the only thing I really had an issue with - it got bright but people should bring an eyemask, and it got cold but you can ask for extra blankets at no extra charge so not an issue.
It was decent, we were out all day every day so ended up not really participating in the evening activities which I feel would really raise the bar on the experience - I'd definitely come back and do it again so I could do this (my friend is very introverted so more of a social butterfly companion would make this easier as well haha)
