How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

no air conditioning and it was a bit on the hot side this weekend. room was a bit on the small side but good for 1-2 people.
Great location right next to the city center and the shopping area. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were great.

What we didn’t like was the lack of air conditioning. Our room was facing the sun all day long, which made it extremely hot and stuffy inside. At night, opening the window to cool down the room wasn’t really an option either, because of the noise from the street — loud music and people made it hard to get a good night’s sleep.
Great breakfast, friendly staff, and everything was very clean. The mattresses were comfortable, and the hotel looks very nice overall! It was perfect for a family with two children — both the space and the bed sizes worked well for us. We had a large double bed and a sofa bed in a separate room. Also, the location is excellent — very convenient for both the city center and the train station.

Although of good quality the bed was quite small for two people. No Air condition- Problem in summer. The elevator is extremely slow.
Perfect location, only 5 minutes from Central Station. Quiet location. Very clean room and bath, clean towels, clean glass. Nice design of the room. Excellent breakfast.

A charming hotel close to the station but set in a quiet location. The hotel breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed nearby restaurants.

Parking was expensive and narrow. There was an incident with our toilet (the water never stopped and there was nothing we can do), luckily it happened in the morning we checked out, but this morning we couldn't use our toilet and it was annoying.
The best part was the super big and comfy bed. Room was big and clean, breakfast was good!

Very flexible in check-in & breakfast. It was a last minute stay (I missed my train), booking & check-in was still possible late in the evening. The staff also opened the breakfast earlier so I could enjoy it before my (very early morning) departure.

Nothing to complain about. Great value for money.
the location was perfect, check in and check out was great. Breakfast staff were very accommodating and friendly. Thank you to the young girl who made my coffee every morning and remembering myself and my husbands order 🤗 We will return to The Grey ❤️

The elevator is horrible - it’s tiny and it is wall free from one side. I was scared my dog’s tail might get hurt if stuck in it. No space for toiletries in the bathroom near sink.

After checking in and entering the room I found it has not been cleaned. They asked for 20 minutes to do the cleaning. While in booking.com it was mentioned my room is sound proof, it wasn't at all. The first night was terrible. I shared the issue with them and changed my room for the second night.
The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly speaking German and English. The location is close to the train central station and also U bahn.

It's a bit cold in the room.
The location is great. It's near the train station and it is very convenient to go to the city center. The breakfast is quite good. It has everything you need.

Very convenient location in relation to the railway station and the main commercial street of the city. Clean, tidy. Excellent breakfast with a good variety of dishes, good coffee. Friendly staff who respond quickly to questions asked. For example, you can leave luggage after checking out of the room or take an extra blanket. The narrow lift is not a hindrance. Clean towels, clean glass, disposable slippers. Safe and small fridge. WI-FI. Nice hotel.

The hotel is on a street that I all the locals park on to go to the pedestrian area. That said, if your room is on the front of the hotel it is a bit noisy with cars and people all hours of the day and night.
The location is very good. 5 minute walk from the train station. Another 5 minute walk to a huge pedestrian area with shopping and food.
