Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicThe hotel facilities, especially the toilet and shower, are prehistoric and definitely should use some renovation. The elevator makes such noises that I was afraid I would get stuck in it.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The card access to the hotel was a nice surprise compared to other things in the hotel.

ItalyThe hotel staff was very welcoming and nice, but despite that, I would not recommend this hotel. The location is central but very dodgy, with the street outside being dirty and filled with junkies and homeless people. The bed was dirty, with hair from another customer or cleaner. The room was tiny, located in an area of the hotel that was still under renovation, and the bathroom sink was not working properly. The hotel was honestly very overpriced, and I wouldn't go back there. Breakfast was nothing special either; the boiled eggs on the last day weren't cooked enough, and there was no option for lactose-free choices.
The staff was very nice

United Arab EmiratesWell honestly don’t have anything to say!
Spacious room, close to Central Train Station. I had the opportunity to stay in multiple five star hotels throughout Europe but the way Mr. Hamid at the reception welcomed us just made our day. He was an extremely polite and friendly professional gentleman. He explained us and recommended us places as this was my first visit to Hamburg. I’d visit the place again just because of the fine attitude of the staff at the property. Of course the property was extremely close to the central train station and Hamburg’s finest places. I’ll surely come back again!

FranceThe staff was incredibly nice, pleasant and welcoming. The room was large and I had the chance to have a quiet room, upon the backyard. And coming from the station with a huge suitcase, being so close was perfect, and the location is also great with the subway in the station for a walk in town.

QatarThere was few mosquitoes/fly in the room. And you have to take the stairs after taking the lift to go to your room. A bit hassle but otherwise it’s fine.
Very basic and has everything I need. It is clean and the reception staff is very kind and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. The location of the hotel is just 3 minutes walk from the station. It’s very convenient if you’re looking for a place near the station. The area around is just a bit sketchy because there’s a lot of strange people roaming around at night, as a woman traveling alone I felt conscious but otherwise I was safe. You could hear their noises as well from the room.

DenmarkThe area is typical for the central station in any major city - not great, but we did feel safe. We stayed from Friday to Saturday, so we could hear some noise from the street.
The owners are the kindest people ever. Super helpful and friendly. Location is great when arriving by train. Great value for money! Breakfast is as expected in a small family run hotel.

GermanyA little bit old and not luxurious but this hotel is 2 stars. They deserve 3 stars based on their service. There are many 3 star hotels which are inferior to this hotel.
Very close to the central station and really kind reception. Compared to other hotels in Hamburg, the price is reasonable even this hotel provides everything which you need.

Netherlandsthis hotel is not suitable for those traveling by car and with luggage. What they call parking is actually a city parking lot an 8-minute walk from the hotel, which was full when I arrived.
What do you think when you see "private parking" mentioned in a hotel advertisement - and that too in the center of Hamburg? Probably the same as me: what a relief, I should book this. I was traveling by car with luggage, so this was the most important factor for me. And here I am in Hamburg, making my third round around the hotel according to the navigator, with traffic jams and construction everywhere. I'm very tired after a 5-hour drive from the Netherlands. There's no parking in sight. I call the hotel for help - and guess what I hear? - Madam, what are you talking about? Of course, there's no parking near our hotel. Everyone knows that! We're in the center; it's impossible here. Hmm, interesting hospitality. They expect me, a tourist visiting Hamburg for the first time, to know this. This conversation already left a bad impression. But it got worse. I went to the address they provided. There was only public parking available. Both inside, in the garage, and outside were full! Another call to the hotel - another manager answers. - Madam, you keep asking the same questions. (Maybe because you're not answering them?) Call back tomorrow; I have a lot of people here. Another example of wonderful service, I thought. My ordeal didn’t end there. Guess how far the parking was from the hotel? An 8-minute walk. An 8-minute walk in pouring rain with several suitcases. When I asked why this wasn't mentioned anywhere, they replied - you know, we can't mention everything. Yes, I understand. Then let me help you, dear hotel owners. I'll mention it in this review: this hotel is not suitable for those traveling by car and with luggage.
