Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Romaniathe competition for the sun beds. Every morning at 5AM all the sunbeds at the pool were taken already by people who did not necessarily have kids. This was quite inconvenient especially since I am a single mom of a 6 years daughter so could not wake up each morning and leave her in the room, to go and occupy the sunbeds. Talked to he hotel, unfortunately there was nothing they could challenge in terms of culture of the people who were doing this.
Amazing Staff, great good, value for money OK, location amazing

CanadaBeach wasn’t the greatest infront of the hotel but short walk along the boardwalk to beautiful spots. Only negative I have is that we were there for 1 week and NEVER got a lounger by the pool. People are up before 6am to claim their beds for the day
Loved the location, beds were comfortable

United StatesI think the only thing I didn't like was the construction of the building: my room was towards the far end of the wing and if you wanted to go back to the main lobby, it was a LONG walk (like a good few minutes) just to get to the main lobby to leave the resort. I can only imagine those with families having to go back and forth to their rooms for something; I got annoyed sometimes so I know they probably did.
When I went to check in to the resort, I learned that apparently I had booked the "upgrade", so I got taken to a different check in area where I was served a glass of sparkling wine, which was an amazing way to be greeted. The room was extremely nice and had a bottle of wine and some fruit waiting for me. The breakfast buffet was absolutely divine; it had EVERYTHING you could think of for breakfast. The swimming pools were really nice; it was still a bit too cool to truly enjoy it, but I got in a couple times but mainly at the indoor pool. The location wasn't SO bad; I do wish that it was closer to the main part of town, but it was only about a 30 minute walk along the water so it kind of made up for it. But that was only if you wanted to go there; there were PLENTY of restaurants and bars just minutes from the resort so I really liked that as well. It was also very safe. The personnel working were always extremely kind and made you feel welcome. They also made sure that you were aware of the events that they were holding either that day or night so you could join in if you wanted to.

IrelandNectar Bar slightly too small for music and could never get a seat. If there was a way to hear the music/show while out on the terrace it would be good.
Really nice stay on the hotel. Pools really warm and not too busy. Plenty of sunbeds....even after breakfast time. So no need to rush very early to try get beds. Location is very good some nice restaurants and bars close by. And short taxi ride to harbour.

IsraelWonderful Experience – Highly Recommended! 🌟 We had a fantastic stay at the hotel and enjoyed every moment. The staff was exceptional – attentive, kind, and truly dedicated to guest satisfaction. Every request was met with a positive and helpful attitude. The room was luxurious, beautifully designed, and of high quality. Facilities are well-maintained, and the swimming pool was simply perfect – clean, relaxing, and ideal for a vacation. We keep kosher and ate only fresh fruits and vegetables at breakfast, yet the care and hospitality of the staff were clearly felt. An excellent experience – we would gladly return!

United KingdomThe food in the Zephyr restaurant could have been better but the other restaurants were all good with plenty of choice.
It was always possible to get a sun lounger and they also supplied towels, a small table and a chair with each group of loungers. They were also very comfortbale - could lie there all day!

The Athena is a large beech front hotel , a number of Pools and some adult only restaurants and activities. Guests are either ordinary, elite or super elite, based on their room booking , this entitles them to perks, such as elite class breakfast and roof top bars. The food is good, although some of the hot buffet items, were less than hot. The hot cook to order eggs were very popular. I would say that the food was of a good quality. The room we had was exceptional , we had a sea view and large balcony with an 1800 check out as a perk of our booking - we did have to give up our room the. Owning of departure but we’re rewarded with a fantastic room with a swim up pool. The staff are all utterly charming and multicultural, but all strive to make your stay and wonderful and fabulous as possible, from reception, the elite check in staff, to the waiters and cleaners, all were lovely . This is an expensive hotel, however, you do get what you pay for in this instance and I would highly recommend it

The hotel and the grounds are very spacious and beautifully maintained. Whilst the hotel is big it is so well run that it never feels too busy or too noisy. There are plenty of places to retreat for peace and relaxation. The staff are excellent, very efficient and always welcoming. The buffet breakfast has everything you could wish for and the buffet restaurant in the evening is a treat. So much choice you could eat there every night. But there is also the option of strolling along the (flat) beach promenade at sunset into Paphos harbour for other restaurants. This takes a leisurely 30-40 minutes. A taxi back costs €12. I love the location of this hotel right on the seafront. The beach is a mixture of sand and large flat rocks. In April the sea is bracing but very refreshing and beautifully clear. We stayed as a couple but enjoyed the fact that the guests are a mixture of couples friends and families. There is an adults only restaurant, pool, pool bar and sunbathing area for peace and quiet.

Breakfast was exceptional—truly one of the best we've experienced in a 5-star hotel. With an elite booking, we received excellent service from the club team, including a warm reception and a welcome drink on arrival. The lady in the elite club was incredibly professional, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcome.

IsraelLack of heating in outside pools was a bit of a bummer. We traveled in April it was quite nice outside but not hot enough to swim outside. We did have inside heated pool, though which we enjoyed

IsraelWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at the hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of delicious options to start the day right. A special shoutout to Sarah from the kids club—she was amazing! Our children had the best time thanks to her energy, creativity, and care. The activities planned for the kids were not only fun but really well-organized, which gave us peace of mind and time to relax. The highlight of our evenings was the performance of Ansatazio—it was simply the best! Captivating, professional, and so entertaining. We had a great time and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and fun!

United KingdomWe went for a family wedding. The weather was bad on the day of the wedding. The hotel staff were not very accommodating. They panicked, wanted to move everything indoors. It all worked out in the end, however, the stress before was not necessary.

IrelandI think as a suggest the hotel could have smart TVs in the bedrooms as the cable TV there was only 10 channels max, so it could be handy to be able to connect Netflix or other streaming service
The view, the locations, the food , the pools, the bedroom, the amazing and friendly staff, the fact that the hotel is located on the the beach

AustraliaWhen I arrived, I was greeted and ushered into a private room and offered Champagnie, I was then told that I was upgraded to another hotel the Asimina Suits as the Hotel was all booked out, this was a lovely surprise and all of the team at the Asmina were absolutely wonderful and caring. I would definitely go back at stay at the Asimina Suits Hotel again. A special thank you to Joanna every morning at breakfast we would have a little conversation , after our first encounter every morning she knew what type of coffee I liked and I did not even have to ask Joanna would bring me out the coffee I liked with a smile, Joanna was a lovely lady and I am ever thankful for her service.

United KingdomOn arrival we decided to take the half-board option that was offered but found that it was mis-represented and offered poor choice and poor value for money so no real advantage. Also you had to book the 'specialist' restaurants in advance even though thy looked pretty empty. in fairness, the hotel listened to our complaint and swiftly refunded. Fortunately we found several good restaurants very close by.
Very nice setting with lots of loungers round the pool and in the gardens, and an excellent walkway along the coast into the port 20 mins away and a good bus service right outside. A jetty enables you to swim in the sea. Excellent gym and spa facility. Superb spread and choice at breakfast.
