The volunteer staff were really sweet and helpful (especially the young ladies). The free breakfast was fantastic! Lots of things to choose from and made fresh. Hostel has a what'sapp group chat that was helpful in communicating what was happening at the place. Many activities offered that you can join(yoga, communal dinners, surf lessons, etc). The other guests were very respectful of the 11pm lights out/quiet time. Great location that's a short walk to Santa Barbara beach. If you are a younger person you'll really enjoy the vibe.

The bathroom was quite dirty. I understand that sharing a space with 7 other people will lead to some uncleanliness, but during my three night stay the trash was never emptied and was overflowing, as was the dirty towel bin(which made the bathroom a bit stinky). Lots of empty shampoo bottles and such all over place. As a 55+ solo traveler I didn't find the social aspect a real highlight as it's definitely a place for a much younger crowd(though it could just be the group of people that were in my dorm.

The room was big enough with complete toiletries. The location was excellent near all amenities. Above all, the staff & ́the Manager Asad were so helpful & kind, always ready to assist us with all our needs. The hotel is highly recommended.

While the location and price were excellent, the actual experience was somewhat disappointing. We traveled as a family and confirmed the day before arrival that a crib would be available. However, when we arrived at 9:00 PM, no crib had been set up. After several follow-up emails and being initially told I was mistaken, someone finally came to set up the crib at 11:00 PM. We also noticed that the AC in one of the rooms was leaking. It took three days and visits from two to three different technicians for the issue to be resolved. During that time, the floor in the room was soaked with water, and the bed sheets were wet. We requested fresh sheets and were told someone would come to replace them. When we returned later that night, nothing had been changed. After further emails, I was advised to check the storage room, despite the fact that the storage room was locked. While you do get a large apartment at a fair price in an amazing location, I wish there had been more attention to detail. Communication was good, but actions did not always follow through. A bit more thorough cleaning would also be appreciated.
