This is a welcoming hostel in a picturesque location overlooking the historic district of Santa Teresa. The hostel is located just steps away from charming cafes, unique gift shops and cozy restaurants. In addition, the world famous Santa Teresa tram runs right beside the entrance to the hostel. The hostel itself is in a historic building in a prime hilltop location. I stayed 4 nights in a room with a private bathroom. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, mini fridge and air conditioning. The water pressure was good and the shower had plenty of hot water. The staff and volunteers at the hostel were all courteous, professional and a few were English speaking. Apparently this hostel has terrific samba parties on Saturdays. Unfortunately, I did not stay there on Saturday night to enjoy a party. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Rio.

The Property was exactly as on the pictures, great views over the sea and really homy. Breakfast was very good with in-house made goodies like cakes and lots of fresh fruits. A nice treat was the coffee in the afternoon, with cookies and cake. They have a cat that loves roaming around and sometimes staying with guests.

It is not the properties fault, but the access is quite exhaustive, going up the hill. Also, Internet service in Ilha Grande is not great. So, whilst the WiFi was working fine, sometimes there was no internet.

Lovely hotel in a very good and lively location! The staff at the hotel are super helpful and always with a smile on their face. The room was very comfortable, with good WiFi and hot water in the shower.

Great location right in the middle of one of the coolest areas in SP - it's quite safe to walk around and not to worry. The room had everything we needed and was clean.

Our sink had an issue and whenever we would open the tap, water spilled on the bathroom counter which was annoying. You get used to it after a while, but all of our towels were wet trying to cover up the mess.

The Jacuzzy which I ask if it was working wasn’t! The sauna only for decoration… the bedroom super small and smell old places bad smell!!! don’t belive the pictures the location heavy dangerous and dirty!!!! The people working on the breakfast always with dirty nasty uniform
