very good location. Bus stop in front of property also the supermarket, ATM and a really good café which sold as well sourdough bread and yummy bakery products. Rudy and Kanoe are very very lovely relaxed and caring hosts . We liked very much that we could use the bikes for the whole time of our stay. That was a great bonus. The garden was beautiful very peaceful and the other guests were lovely people too. Definitely will try to come back next year and stay at Tropical Sands in Chalet number 5 :))

Awesome! Rudy and Kanoe are super friendly and helpful hosts. They organized a transfer for our late arrival from the airport, so all went smoothly. As the place is a bit distant from all popular beaches (Muri beach is in a walking distance though), it is really tranquil and quiet. Bus stop and a supermarket nearby. The hut was spacious, with separate bathrooms. I was travelling with a friend, so it was very comfortable for both us. There are all necessary kitchen appliances so that we could cook. The garden is beautiful and very well kept, we enjoyed just sitting there and watching the ocean. Really enjoyed our time at Tropical sands, highly recommend.

Rarotonga often have constant issues with Wi-Fi reception due to tropical weathering, it is a hit and miss situation.

Not really any issues with the property at all, other issues were: Vodafone Hotspot was useless in many places on the island. Had one good week at T Sands but the second week it failed. Just a heads up that the beach is not a swimming beach but is still very cool. We arrived in bad weather and the waves were HUGE and wonderful to watch. They break at the reef about 15 mtrs out and just disappear. Another warning, the bus doesn't run on Sundays and sometimes other days as well so can be difficult to rely on. It's a bit hard to get information about anything. Nothing much to do on the Island if you're not into swimming, sunbathing, or fishing.

Kanoe and Rudy are lovely people who helped us to enjoy our stay. Almost everything we needed was in our accommodation, could have done with some drawers for clothing. We loaned snorkels and goggles for swimming. They have a couple of loan pushbikes too. The property is very well maintained and right on the beach, not able to swim there but lovely still and good for sunbathing etc. Petrol, dairy and foodery (hamburgers, pizza etc) close by. Muri lagoon is a walkable 3km for swimming and snorkeling. You can wave down the bus wherever you are on the main road. If you're using the bus often buy a 10 trip ticket from the driver for $30 (can be used for more than one person). Food at restaurants we went to was top notch and very reasonable in price.

Great cabins next to the beach! The cabin is simple but it has everything you need. Canoe and Rudy are amazing hosts. We really enjoyed our stay!

The room was spacious. It is not a big flash resort but a nice quiet space with the bus stop outside the property. Lots of nice local touches with a pop up bakery on Sunday 2 mins down the road which was a real find.

perfectly located at the beach. with the available bicycles it’s easy to reach Muri, for example for the food night market. nice private beach, though not for swimming (quite rocky) the owners are really friendly. they also helped us out with some clothes as our luggage was delayed. airport shuttle was organised by the accommodation

Rudy & Kanoe are very nice hosts. I went for a break and to catch up with friends. A bonus was the two rugby league teams I follow played on Friday & Saturday, so I got to see both matches. The other passion for me is snorkelling so Tropical Sands was a good base. Turangi beach was good for walking.
