Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe wildlife was somewhat noisey from one room in the morning, though that’s probably common in for many places to stay.
Beautiful house with beautiful views of the sea.

New ZealandNot that I didn’t like it, but we had rain and the house is on solar, we kept forgetting to boost the water do it stayed hot, we could’ve called the owner to out the gas on. And you will wake up to the roosters here too, like the resort lol.
The property was accomodating for us all. Was cleaned well and served as well with the fridge and kitchen as we brought our own supplies from home. Lovely staff and easy to communicate with.

New ZealandThere was heaps of ants so we had to keep all food in the fridge instead of pantry. Which wasnt a problem .but had to spray all clothes alot to keep them away out of luggage . We also had a big 300mm geko / lizard living in behind the fridge/.pantry it was scary for kids but awsome to see at the same time running around walls .
We loved the location and the space it had was clean and had everything we needed it was And very enjoyable and relaxing and we stayed 7nights plus we were able to stay an extra night with no issues

New ZealandWhile the accommodation is well-maintained and very comfortable, we did notice that the space underneath the villa could potentially be put to better use or tidied up a bit. This is only a small observation and certainly didn’t detract from the enjoyment of our stay.
We had a lovely stay at Ocean Spray Villas – the location is fantastic, and the villa itself is beautifully presented with everything we needed for the last night of our stay. The views and surroundings made for a peaceful and memorable visit. Thank you for providing such a wonderful base for our Rarotonga getaway – we hope to return in the future!

United KingdomOnly comment is that the neighbours cockerel's were very noisy from 3 am and 5 am daily and were wondering under house ( as they are free not shut up ) so this did wake us up a lot . Not sure how this can be resolved as most of Rarotonga has chickens roaming !! It didnt spoil our stay we just bought ear plugs !
We stayed in Villa 2 , which is spectacular with a glass ballustrade / balcony looking out onto beach and lagoon/ reef below. The villa has great aircon which was so needed in the humid heat. Kitchen is very well equipped , beds so comfy and big showers. Washing machine and tumble dryer was very useful. The views from the balcony are stunning , and access to beach is from villa and we loved walking on beach in evenings watching the fisherman spearing fish. Highly recommend this villa. Liana & Chenee were great with any queries we had .

Location, views to die for! Easy to walk to a few cafes & bars, if you don’t mind a 15-20 min wander. Balcony fab place to chill & water great for a cooling down dip, not deep enough for proper swim but didn’t matter to us.

AustraliaI would rather be in a resort vibe setting, than stay in a private villa. More for the kids to do. Felt like you were secluded from the world, which is nice sometimes, but not when you’re on holidays with kids. Our stay was lovely though for our last 2 nights in Raro. Easy to get to the airport in the morning for our flight.
Loved being right on the Ocean and listening to the waves crash. The views were amazing! So peaceful and relaxing. The interior of the villa was beautiful. Close to the airport.
