The location is in downtown which made it easy to travel to all the city pass attractions. From outside the hostel looks little bit shady but inside it is much better. Dormitory was really small, if u r just looking to spend a night and fresh n up this is a budget friendly place.

It was hot in May, even with AC and fan on. Facilities are pretty minimal and the bed is squeaky

It's cheap compared to other options downtown Toronto and it's totally a fine place to spend a night or two in

I think the hotel needs a space just for having coffee can't even drink water. In my opinion no good. the amount I paid is the same amount in a hotel that has a coffee area.

No kitchen, no common area, no laundry

The hostel Is nice. Clean and with restroom inside the room. But It miss a common kitchen and a common area so impossible to know people or stay longer. Overall I had a good time. And 5 stars to Vas, the receptionist. He was so kind with me, he helped me and Always try to keep my experience as nice possible.

I actually did not stay there even though I pre-paid a room. When I drove there, I found the neighborhood to be very sketchy. Could not find a place to park, and even if I could, I would not be comfortable leaving my car overnight at the place. I decided to leave once I could not find a place to park. Since I did not go inside, my ratings are solely based on what it felt from the outside.

In terms of the Wi-Fi, the connection neither stable nor smooth. I wish they can upgrade or improve their Wi-Fi.

I stayed in a six bedroom, female dormitory. In general, it’s clean and comfortable. And it’s a reasonable price with the facilities and service I had. There is a bathroom with a toilet in the room, but if people take a shower, the washroom with the toilet becomes completely wet.

The area was kinda sketchy, once I couldnd't open the front door because a homeless guy was sleeping in front of the door and the door stucked. Bed matress was very thin and old so not very confy. Bathroom was full glass with curtain so some people said it's not bery comfortable.

The location is very good, you can walk to Queens street (the fashion district). Staff were very nice and helpful. I think this is for the price you get, so i am satisfied.

It was so bad during 2nd night our stay. It sounds like two ladies on the hallway or from the other rooms yelling in the middle of the night from 12:30am to 6am - imagine that. Hope the management have notice them and kick them out from the hotel. They are yelling all the time like no respect from other guests.

No breakfast offered but not a problem.

What could have been better would have been a dining area.

The Palmerston Hotel is cost effective, and you get a bunk, shower, and toilet. No kitchen and some rooms allow eating & mine didn't. However, the plus is location, location, location. So many restaurants, shopping, & nightlife fun. Public transportation is very good. And if you like cannabis the Palmerston Hotel is in the right spot. Now it is not accessible for people who walk with a cane, rolling walker, or power wheelchair, this is a walk-up stairs hostel.
