2 Shared bathrooms not clean - note said they get cleaned every morning but when we arrived late afternoon one shower has clogged and no toilet roll in other one. No water in unclogged shower next morning. Water not refilling in toilet either which was an unfortunate discovery! We had to leave in morning before cleaning so no idea how they would have looked or improved. Also our cabin had faulty fuse so when we plugged in just one phone to charge it flipped the whole row of cabins and we were all left in darkness! Luckily one of the other cabins was an electrician so he found the problem so light was restored but our phone went uncharged which was a problem the next day for us.

Beautiful location - cabins clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and great coffee in restaurant opposite however not open on evening we were there. Clean bathrooms in restaurant were very popular!

Perfect landing for start and stop of Pacific Coast Trail. Just what I needed, nothing fancy but a warm and cozy bed.

Over three days one bathroom soap dispenser was not refilled even though a new cartridge was sitting right there. Hmm. The paper towel dispensers were beasts to struggle with but you can just bring your own towel. All of this is minor stuff. The major issue is that the cost charged is in no relation to the services provided. The only reason they get away with the current price is that there is nothing competing (and this seems to develop into a one-company town). The appropriate price point would be $60 (CDN).

The huts are fine, though they get hot overnight as there is not enough ventilation; it would be better if the front windows opened. Many folks complained about the shared bathrooms in the past but this does not seem to be a problem; even though the huts were all occupied we never had to wait at all, and the bathrooms were acceptably clean after a whole day of use. Having the cafe across the street was great - from the cabins in the parking lot you get their strong wifi signal and during our time they were on a Delta blues binge - nice!

Over priced for what it was, the mattress kept sliding off the platform, and there were no window coverings, so the light shined in all night. Very small signage, making it difficult to find.

The huts are extremely basic but that was to be expected. Our hut didn’t have a curtain despite having a window that faced the driveway/parking lot so we had to tie a sheet up ourselves. There appeared to be no source of drinking water on the property. We asked a staff member if the water in the bathrooms was OK to drink and they advised us to get water from the nearby pub, which is pretty weird. There were exactly two bathrooms for the whole hiker hut area which was ok since only a few were occupied when we were there but if it was busy I think you would end up waiting a lot. Bathrooms were also not serviced often enough- one was out of hand soap and the other was out of paper towel for the duration of our stay.

Good location. Price was decent but a bit much for what it was

One of the two bathroom doors wouldn't open, so all huts had to share one bathroom. Beds very hard. Shower wasn't very clean. Dust and spiders under bed.

Close to beaches and cheap price for the area.

The Hiker Huts desperately need another washroom separate from the shower units. In the mornings it is especially frustrating when you quickly need to use the bathroom and both cubicles are held up with people taking long showers and a queue of people waiting.

    Excellent location and affordability.

We arrived to hear all of the other people in the huts talking about how nice the hot tub was (they had been) and when we went to go use it, the staff were rude and told us that we could use the hot tub because we were staying in the huts. I said, well all of the other hut people had used it and he shrugged and said he would tell management

Very tiny window allowed no air cirkulation, so the hut was very hot and humid, especially in the upper bunk. The mattress on this bunk started moving out from the wall revealing a serious vacuum cleaning below the mattress is needed! Otherwise the room was clean.
