Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe beds were so poor that we both ended up with bad backs and we're in our 30s! How they can call this a hotel, I don't know. Ruined out stay Most staff were friendly and welcoming. However, a minority was rude, sarcastic and couldn't care less, James (receptionist) included. Cared more about talking to other staff (blonde cleaning lady also rude) than addressing or helping customers. Also he was very sarcastic and had an attitude. When we asked for his name his response was to "take it easy" Not the cleanest

CanadaOnly negative I can think of is the room and bathroom are a bit small. Had a tough time closing the bathroom door if I was already seated (I'm tall). Not a big deal at all gor me though.
Firstly, the location was great. Right downtown Vancouver, and on one of the bus lanes that goes south to the lower half of vancouver. Second, great staff that were very welcoming and helpful. Third, good facilities that are unique. The plaza was great to sit in to relax between outings.

ChileThey have only like portable AC in the room, was noisy as hell. Without it, the room was really hot (I woke up all wet from sweating. It was a noisy (room 415), that came I guess from the room right next door; I asume was like a service room or something; the room was ALL night, and continued throughout the day… it was subtly, but I have light sleep, so.. si couldn’t sleep.
The mattress was very comfy; the bathroom was clean and ok, and the shower was GOOD! Also the location of the hotel is very nice and the staff is friendly.

United KingdomQuirky design - beautiful courtyard in the centre but bedside lamps had no on/off switch and had to be unplugged! Maintenance a little lacking - ceiling lamp in dark corridor outside door was not working despite me reporting it, safe not working because of flat battery. Hotel immediately opposite major hospital so some noise from traffic and emergency vehicles.
Good coffee shop on ground floor. Very central location in Vancouver. Parking on site but tricky access from narrow lane at back.

United StatesThis small boutique hotel is centrally located and near the port if you are cruising. The room was very clean, although a little small. Staff was outstanding. Everyone was professional and welcoming. There was a beautiful court with a fire pit and Cornhole and ping pong as well as great seating to enjoy a drink and relax at the end of the day. My husband was randomly selected by the Canadian government to covid test and the lady at the desk was super helpful. Nihad was amazing he helped arrange the Hop on Hop off Tour, answered all of my many questions and helped us get cabs. If you are looking for a clean place with a good location and excellent staff this is the place for you.

AustraliaThe place overall is a bit tired and run down. I was a bit hesitant to book but did so based on many good reviews. Internal aircon unit is adjacent to bed and was very noisy and made it difficult to sleep (needed to be on all the time as there were heatwave conditions). It started tripping off on the last day of our stay and we had to constantly ring reception to have it reset. Front desk reception staff were a mixed bag with some very ordinary service. Tried to get a replacement iron as it was leaking. Said they had no spares and to come back in the morning and they would test it. What part of needing to use it now (ironing a shirt to go to a wedding) did they not understand ?? Room servicing was a bit hit and miss and had to chase staff up. Hospital across the road meant it was a noisy location with ambulance sirens. Would have moved out after the first night but everything else was booked because of the long weekend.
Well priced for downtown Vancouver with good sized room with large TV. Laundry facilities available (one machine and dryer). Though we did not require it onsite parking available but it was limited and on a first come first served basis.

CanadaThe room was extremely dark with no lighting except one potlight at the end of the room near the closet. On a cloudy day I couldn't see into my suitcase to get dressed - I had to use my phone flashlight. The aircon (in room portable unit) was SO LOUD and made the room very dry, I did not have a good sleep any of our four nights because of it. The on site laundry cost $11 per load!! (5 to wash, 5 to dry, 1 for soap) which is WAY too much. We were excited for the free bike rentals but they were out of bikes every day, even when we went on a weekday morning, so the hotel must not have very many.
Great location, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go and on a cycling friendly road. Yes there is some homelessness in the area but that is the case in much of vancouver. Shaw bike rentals on the corner. Bed was decently comfy. Decor is cute. Cute courtyard area to have a coffee while we did laundry. Appreciated the cold bottled water in our fridge each day.

SpainThe room is not very well sound isolated, so you hear a lot the seagulls in the morning and sometimes people from other rooms. But mostly the seagulls and big noise cars (normal cars are not heard). Small sink.
Very comfortable and clean room. No carpet. Close to the many touristic visits in Vancouver gastown. Very good shower.
