Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaGreat location. Room was exactly as shown.... A bit sparse but had everything we needed. Huge bed, good airco on a hot day, blackout blinds, and nice rain shower.

CanadaThe common area has no cutlery. The room has no fridge. There is a coffee machine in the common area, and it costs $1.50 per cup of coffee.
Great location, directly in the heart of Charlottetown. There are lots of bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. The rooms are small but decent size, enough for 2 people to sleep (couples or friends). The bathroom is a little odd if you are friends because the wall is a translucent glass panel with a sliding door. However, there is enough room in there to comfortably shower and/or change clothing. We used the common area on the 2nd room a couple days and the idea is neat. There is street parking in front of the hotel, but only free after 6pm and must move car by 8am. We parked at the parking garage nearby for $8.75/24h.

MexicoI was really disappointed by the cleaning service agenda, I stayed for 5 days and the room was not full cleaned during that time. I had to ask the front desk to clean at least the garbage cans, and refill the supplies for the bathroom. This is the first time I have to ask for the clean service during my stay in a hotel, they told me they will only do it if the guest ask for it every 2 days and you have to notify that one night in advance, otherwise is practically impossible they manage to clean your room with a "short notice". In addition to this, the mattress was really uncomfortable for me and my mom, we woke up with pain in the back for the lack of support and the softness of the bed.
The location was really convenient, walking distance from the center, and Harbour

CanadaIt astounds me with these modern, conceptual hotels, that so much effort is put into design and minimalism but the basics, like soundproofing are overlooked. I could hear every single thing outside the room, the housekeeping staff having a conversation, other guests making plans. Plus the music from the bar downstairs late into the evening on the weekend. I’m all for having a good time and I’ll use earplugs if needed but I wouldn’t recommend it after a long trip when you will want to sleep. Too expensive to have zero facilities in the room, no water refill station only tap or boiling water for free, no breakfast available on site, nice location but I was a bit disappointed otherwise.
Rooms were clean and staff were lovely, a coupon for the cinema was a nice touch. Definitely pop down the street to Moe’s Latte for coffee and a pistachio baklava!

BelgiumConstant ventilation making quite a lot of noise, also at night.
Basic, modern, clean room. No nonsense. Good bed and great shower. Perfect location in the centre of Charlottetown. I asked for a quiet room and got a room on the 4th floor. Didn’t hear street noise or other people.

CanadaIt was extremely loud at night- music/bass pumping until the wee hours (which they do warn you about on the website) and you could hear voices through the vents. You could also hear the street noise very clearly. The shower got the whole bathroom wet as there was no door. The bathroom door doesn't stay open. More hooks and shelves would be nice.
Location, price, very modern and clean.

FranceWould be nice to have some free drinks in the lounge area (tea bags, bottled water).
Room is clean and area of the town is very nice. Although rooms are somewhat minimalistic, there's a lounge area with kittle, coffee machine (paid) and laundry. I was there during local festival so the first night was a bit loud with music, but overall great experience. Also, you get to have a free ticket to watch a movie in the hotel's cinema! Super cute :)
