    Love this place, very quiet, clam and pleasant atmosphere I felt very safe and comfortable in my surroundings and would gladly recommending others to visit this location and I would like to add that the room I stayed in was an excellent view of the famous River Walk in downtown San Antonio, Texas.

    I'm not found of Houston.

    I'm not found of Houston. We have to visit there twice a year for Drs. appts. at MD Anderson. The traffic on the freeways drive me crazy and scare me to death. I'm sure there are good places to eat, I just haven't found them.

    Dallas is a great city to visit with many beautiful sites, fantastic restaurants and bars. There are multiple entertainment venues. Like any other large city, there are definite traffic issues with some crazy drivers.

    South Padre Island was nice and we didn’t go at a time it...

    South Padre Island was nice and we didn’t go at a time it was crowded so my group was able to enjoy the scenario as well as water, it provided many places to eat great bars and music with quick access to most beaches

    Corpus Christi is the home to the Texas State Aquarium.

    Corpus Christi is the home to the Texas State Aquarium. It's a relatively small city and has several interesting points of interest so there's enough to keep one engaged for a few days. It's really easy to get around and the bridges across Corpus Christi Bay are fabulous! Restaurants on the boardwalk were kind of sketchy and there's a homeless population visitors may encounter, especially near the beach areas.

    Do not stay in room 307!!!

    Do not stay in room 307!!! beds was full of bed bugs and the mgmt did NOTHING to assist with finding another room. They were not surprised as the finding. Dave the front person did NOTHING to assist and didn't want to disturb the mgr or upset him. But he was perfectly ok to upset us or inconvenience us. We had to find a hotel more than 20 miles so we could sleep a few hours. All this happened at 3AM

    Being that El Paso is a large city.

    Being that El Paso is a large city. The traffic can be horrendous at times, like rush hour. The hotel's location provided access to the Casino, and there are plenty of places for shopping and dining nearby.

    I came to see the solar eclipse.

    I came to see the solar eclipse. I inteded to stay in Dallas but my previous reservation with AirBnB was canceled at the last minute. I didn't find Irving particularly appealing. It's not very walkable, everything is spread out and dispersed. I guess there is a downtown area but I didn't make it there. I walked a considerable distance (about 6 miles roughly in a square) and only encountered small, isolated strip malls separated by long, empty sidewalks. I did have a good Indian meal at Spices of India.
