I was born and raised in Philly so I can't talk bad about it. We are a big city with a small town feel because each section of the city has their own flavor and experiences. Being a city with five or more colleges residing, winning sports teams , Go Birds, museums for the birth place of our country as well as the famous Rocky Steps, and after that you should be hungry so please help yourself to well known Philly cheesesteak, in beef, chicken or vegan, water ice, and you have to have a pretzel. Summer in Philly is where we shine especially with the celebration of the 4th. So come visit Philly so we can bestow some Brotherly Love and sisterly affection, just a word of caution, never talk bad about our sports teams,lol.Guest review byReinnaUnited States - 4.0

It was a good location. Advertised as fully equipped kitchen, but there was nothing in the kitchen area. We had to ask for a coffee pot and coffee. An older motel, now in need of extensive repair & maintenance. The A/C in our room kept shutting off & had to be unplugged & plugged back in to restart. No microwave in room. Breakfast is only served from 6:30 m- 9:00 and there was no coffee in lobby. Pool had leaves & debris in it. Some elevators did not work. There were homeless people living in cars in the back parking lot. The 2nd morning the breakfast room was closed due to a gas leak so no breakfast and nothing offered! Wilmington is not a big town.
Wilmington is not a big town. It is a lovely town, but you can walk it in a day. Split it into two. Enjoy the renovated riverside with its history, the Children's Museum and the great selection of restaurants and bars. Then enjoy a walking tout of the town. The architecture is amazingly diverse from the Quaker town hall to the ugly glass financial buildings. The only thing I missed was being able to BBQ in the backyard. We were kind of looking forward to it based on one of the pictures viewed. The kitchen and breakfast nook/Veranda, more than made up for the lack of a grill. The area is quiet, well maintained and beautiful. Arriving each evening was a welcome close to each day as we were busy for no less than 12 hours on 3 of the 5 days spent in Cherry Hill. Because we were so busy we didn't get a chance to get out to any restaurants but there was one nearby that looked really interesting so we are planning to make sure we stop there on the next trip. We had no little people with us and were busy every day, so I can't comment on nearby activities but I know we were close enough to Philly to be able to take a nice trip if we had the time. Since ours was a business trip we couldn't plan much but I would suggest if anyone it going away to get away stop here for a great place to stay. I had to stay there due to reasons beyond my control or I would have left! There were roaches in the room. The floor was dirty and the stripping was falling away from the wall. The toilet seat was broken, one side hooked on. There were hairs on the bed sheets. Two out of the three staff members I met were very polite and nice. I was told there would be a microwave and refrigerator through booking.com, but when I got there, there wasn't either in the room and there was a microwave in the lobby to use while the lobby was open.Guest review byPhillipsUnited States - 10.0

As far as cleanliness they failed. Badly I had to buy supplies clean and needed air freshener spray reeked of old cigarette smoke, and mildew. If u looking just a place to rest a few hours it served its purpose. Would not recommend for a long visit! ☹️Guest review byAnonymous
