Don't do time square.
Don't do time square. All they do there is walk around and look at the lights, that is all they had for me. Instead do tours, shows, visit Rockefeller Center on a Saturday. Do a cruise, take a pedicap around central park or visit the USS Intrepid. Lots of great food, our favorite was Carnegie Diner.Guest review byJoel - 6.0
This hotel is clean and comfortable bed and spacious room.
This hotel is clean and comfortable bed and spacious room. It is quite new and I loved how easy it was to get to the JFK just 4 minutes walk. A short bus ride and you can get to Queens Boulevard for shopping at places like Burlington, Primark, JD shoe store and more, lots of places to eat. I will definitely stay here again whenever I need a place to stay near to the airport and shopping.Guest review byJamesTrinidad and Tobago - 10.0

By far the worst experience of my life!
By far the worst experience of my life! I've traveled around the world for the last 50 years, but I had never experienced such a terrible experience as I did at the Howard Johnson EWA ! I strongly recommend you eliminate that hotel from the listing!Guest review byHiro ShibuyaJapan - 2.0

Bronx is a good place but the house and all the shenanigans about no one picking the call but texting only. I thought it was a hotel not knowing it’s a house in some dark places in Bronx. I texted the person back that I’m not interested because I feel uncomfortable and have asked for a refund of $203. Shiiii….Guest review byPhilip - 4.0
Lack of parking was very frustrating.
Lack of parking was very frustrating. We drove around for literally an hour looking for a place to park on a Sunday. Lots everywhere were empty but there were no attendants or it was just places that you were not allowed to park like weekend closed business, even though there was plenty of parking available in their lot. And then to be out on the street where there is zero parking available it was unbelievably frustrating. We cut our trip short and left at 6:00 in the morning because I was afraid of my car getting towed on Monday morning. Street signs were vague and all of them had limited days as well as limited hours that you could park on those days and none of them without a parking permit. Nothing would bring me back to Jersey City. Nothing.Guest review byPaxton - 10.0

Nice secure area, mind the pavements they may be bumpy (though getting fixed from time to time), close to NYC, tunnel takes its time but was never extreme, nice small neighborhoods, great view on NYC, nice shopping (mall, low price shops, dine-in)Guest review byVividAustria - 8.0

there were restuarants and shops close by. Bus stop into manhattan right outside and only 15 minutes into the city. For the price you pay to stay here plus travel its still much cheaper than staying in Manhattan.Guest review byVanessa23749South Africa - 8.0

Long Island City is a very mixed neighbourhood - industrial, working class, and areas being gentrified. Not everyone would feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood. But there is hip stuff developing.Guest review byCharlieCanada - 6.0
