We liked the location of the hotel, the city center, you can use the tram, its stop is nearby, to get to the sights, you can walk the distance is not long, 10-15 minutes. The hotel has very good breakfasts in a pleasant hall. The air conditioning works comfortably in the room and the hotel. The interiors inside the hotel and the rooms are very nice. You can use the outdoor pool which is on the 6th floor, there is also a gym there. Indoor parking at the hotel, paid, but convenient. The room at Louis park hotel was beautiful and passed our expectations. The location was perfect as we were only in New Orleans for a few night and were very close to Bourbon street. Every part of the room was clean and the free water and coffee were perfect for what we needed. I would definitely stay again.

    Bourbon Street and the bars were what I expected, however, I didn't sense an urgency by the businesses or the police to make the location safer and more tourist friendly. Homelessness abounds there and the wreak of weed and drugs were apparent everywhere. A little more pride, investment and love for the city of New Orleans would be great for the tourism there. The food is quite good in many places, but overall, you could get tired of this area very quickly. The music and bars were great on Frenchman Street.

    Baton Rouge is a great city. I’m originally fro New Orleans, LA. I have family that lives in Zachary (whom I was visiting) and still have family living in and around the greater New Orleans and surrounding areas.

    we love the gambling.

    we love the gambling. I’m just playing penny slots was absolutely wonderful. We ended up moving up to quarter slots but we had so much fun and we only took like $300 and still came home with money. We were there for three days would love to go and say at least five days The staff is absolutely exceptionally trained motivated well deserving we love keep going if you want cleaning us great hospitality wonderful rooms you have got to go to Bally’s in Shreveport.

    While L'Auberge Casino is certainly worth visiting and seeing, the slots seemed to have higher minimum bets. The coffee and soft drink stations along the walls were nice, though. Decor and grounds are an experience. We stayed at the Horseshoe and loved the art deco vibe. Gordon Ramsay's restaurant was the main reason for the trip and was very good (pricey, of course) with excellent service. Dessert was incredible. Had a good burger at a hole in the wall in old downtown and like the waterfront park in that area. Remember that this is a working port, which makes views from and around the casino very industrial. If you'll be offended by a view of cargo ships and refineries from your hotel, Lake Charles is not for you. You'll also see buildings damaged by hurricanes that have yet to be repaired. Some areas look a bit dystopian. Tourists are typically there for the casinos, after all. The million dollar homes along Shell Beach Drive are worth seeing if you're driving around.

    Plenty of stores'.

    Plenty of stores'. At the time of this visit to my granddaughter's house in Haughton, the freeway had serious reconstruction in progress to the area of the motel and my son in law was able to lead us to the motel after dark as the exits to the motel were closed for reconstruction. We are very senior citizens.

    I loved the area; where we stayed there were two shopping malls close by. A lot of restaurants that were delicious - Acme Oyster House for one. Close to the causeway and the freeway. Easy to get around.

    Don’t come there is nothing to do and only nothing to do very stressful and the environment some places is very negative you’ll just have to take my word considering I’m from Arizona someplace I recommend like the Grand Canyon or even the butterfly Garden out in Tucson Az
