1. Having to walk into the shower to turn on the water and get sprayed with cold water, ridiculous. 2. No toilet seat cover? Gross 3. No microwave in room, guy at front desk had to come up to verify, I felt i needed to say he could check out bags. He told me he planned to file a theft report, for prior guests. Added stress i certainly shouldn't been privy to & told that. 4. Someone could have turned up the fridge temp, we figured that out midway through time there. 5. Sink was clogged since we arrived, but we had to leave room when your people family was leaving. (We were attending my brother's celebration of life.) We had 3 rooms total. All the above happened in our room 301.. we did get help when we asked for it like extra pillows the last night as I feel down at my brother house and needed help. Everyone was kind, but it was overwhelming. That sink should have been cleaning with free flowing water, the cleaning people should have known that. Appreciated that all 3 our rooms were given late check out but we all left earlier anyway. Suggestion: at food bar a simple sign their maybe dairy in something (like omeletes) and and nothing is gluten-free. Idea that might be helpful to others in these days of trying to live healthier. .Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
My granddaughter and I came for the Breyer Fest.
My granddaughter and I came for the Breyer Fest. She's never been to Kentucky before and it was a great experience for her. Shopped at a mall near by. Got laundry done at hotel. Walmart/ Lowes is across the street. What I like about the location, it's an easy off and on to 75N to go to the Breyer Fest, approx. 15 mins. to drive. Enjoyed the Thoroughbred Park which is close by.Guest review byEllersonUnited States - 10.0

We stayed in Frankfort for the distilleries in the area.
We stayed in Frankfort for the distilleries in the area. We had a wonderful time. People were lovely, there was more than enough to do, and Frankfort is located between Louisville and Lexington, so a great location for the area. Lots of good food options, beautiful scenery. Overall, I would love to return to Frankfort.Guest review byEricaUnited States - 2.0
Shelbyville doesn’t have many activities or restaurants.
Shelbyville doesn’t have many activities or restaurants. We stayed at the Best Western at exit 32 off 64 west. Only fast food restaurants and Waffle House for food. We did get a good pizza at Jeptha Creed Distillery at this exit.Guest review byLauraUnited States - 10.0

The Stave restaurant near Woodford Reserve is 'dive delicious' with fantastic southern food and a screened in porch. Ask for Wendy. Amsden coffee is good. Proximity of Versailles to the Kentucky Castle, spectacular horse farms, distilleries and both Lexington, and Frankfort is perfect.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
We went there to see Shakertown/Shaker Village.
We went there to see Shakertown/Shaker Village. It's one of our very favorites to visit and tour. It has the ambience of a Colonial Williamsburg, without all of the glitz and glamour. Harrodsburg has a wonderful state park with a small Civil War museum. The "old" town always strikes me as being "antebellum," although I imagine that most of the homes which seem that way are probably (much) newer.Guest review byJ Anthony - 10.0

Well with covid, not many food places open and lines of course were long. The whole eating area in the outlet mall was closed except a pizza and chicken place. But we had fun with what little time we did have. It is horse country out there and would love to see it when all green with horses out. Beautiful placeGuest review byLeslieUnited States - 6.0

Lexington has every kind of area in a city.
Lexington has every kind of area in a city. I loved the southern charm and if you speak to them first the people are very friendly and helpful. The museums and attractions at the state parks are magnificent I loved The horse tours, The Henry Clay house, Wave land, Boones borough and just riding around looking at all the old southern houses. Did not get to see Mary Todd Lincolns House this visit though. The first time we visited was 7 years ago and I fell in love, but to be honest there was so much construction going on everywhere it was maddening. Second time we visited 4 years later I saw what the construction wrought. Gentrification! Very expensive Gentrification in fact and it went from a town for everyone to a town for wealthier people. This was my third time and I am sorry but it will be my last. I have seen all that I want to now so will set my sites on places I have never been. Nice place generally though.Guest review byKarenUnited States
